As a fan of Pixel phones, They should have had the Wide angle added on this year. All their competitors have three lenses. Before wide angles were added one lense was fine but Google needs a third to remain on top in the phone photography scene. But it looks so much nicer than the iphone (my opinion there)

The two phones are nearly identical in performance. So close (except the time to boot but that isn't a big deal) that it makes no sense to choose on performance. Go for the phone you like and/or if you prefer Android or IOS. Regardless of what you choose these are flagship phones and you will have a good experience with either one (unless you are a fanboi of one or the other and hate the other side no matter what).

What isn’t good enough is 400 nits if brightness compared to the notes 642 and iPhones 800. Just makes it hard to see outside and when watching Netflix and there are dark scenes. It doesn’t pop out

It seems You have not opened some apps on Pixel before the test. Try opening couple times every single app of the test to be fairer. New apps load more information (for exemple PUBG loads instructions and its animations). Apps must create cache first too. Thanks!
