I first switched to a pixel phone in 2017. I went from an LG phone to a pixel 3xl and I loved it! It lasted up until I upgraded to the pixel 6 pro, which was much longer than any other phone I ever had. The old phone still worked pretty nice, of course with occasional overheating and a shorter battery life. But I really love the new google pixel 6 pro. I never really had a phone like this and it has been so fun trying out the new features.

same here went from lg g6 (was really good phone) to pixel 3 xl and switched to the 6 pro. I was going to keep the 3 xl for a long time but when I saw all the changes they made I just felt it was time to let go of the 3 xl

The 3 is what sold me as well. Very viable phone until the ~2 year mark, then I started experiencing issues with the USB port. I got away with using a charging pad for a while, and didn't realize how used to it I was until I upgraded to the 6 Pro. I guess the lesson learned was to wirelessly charge as much as possible to preserve the port

Wow, this makes me feel relieved to see this comment. I have used & liked LG Phones, (I have always used Android) but since LG is getting out of the phone business & I will be switching to a carrier that I need an unlocked phone for, I am looking at getting my very first Google Phone (as I hate Samsung Galaxy). Seeing someone say that they went from an LG to a Pixel & liked/loved it, make me feel better & since it's only a few months away I will be waiting for the Pixel 7.

Actually, tap on the back originally came from other Android OEMs (Motorola, Huawei, etc., and Apple stole it from those devices) and Google borrowed tap on back from their own Android OEM partners.

The Google pixel, 6 is absolutely amazing because I always use the microphone to send a text and it doesn’t always come out right that the Google spells everything correctly, and as you say, when you speak fast or slow it types it perfectly. In the Group Details I only see the option to Add people. 2) Where can I find a list of the groups that I've already set up? I don't see Groups in my Contacts. 3) How do I send a group text message that is delivered as individual messages? Sometimes I only want the replies to come to me, not the entire group. go for it, I just switched from S21 to Pixel 6 two days ago and quickly realized how stupid I was paying more for less on S21. but in all honesty, so far the battery life is a downgrade but it's no big deal for the amount of things I traded for!

@@imaboud Granted, I only speak for myself, but I find myself always charging things regardless, or near an outlet to charge. It's like people literally go to some island for days without power outlets lol...are the photos really that much better than on S21? My issue with Samsung (granted I still have S8+), is the image processing.

@@alexanderc7213 The camera is really fun and fast in capturing but takes 1-3 seconds of processing in the background. It's better than S21 but not that far off. Still probably %70 of the photos I've taken are better than any smartphone I've seen. Battery life was bad the first couple of days cause I found out that ambient display uses 120FPS all the time for no reason so I turned it off until they roll an update to fix it, and now I have juice left before I sleep so it's no big deal.

Great job. I learned more about my pro I just received. One thing I've not seen on anybody's tips and help videos yet, is that you can also turn on the home and back button at the bottom like the older phones or samsung's. I'm so use to that style, that I had to turn it on lol.

@@thegeekshot that's funny, i thought exactly the opposite. I had the iPhone 13 pro max for 3 days before I gave up. My deciding factor was the ease of use of the Android operating system vs iOS. To me, everything makes more sense and it's faster in Android, i couldn't deal with the so many extra steps I'm iOS to do dimple steps, lack of widgets, and whatever widgets available you can't interact with them, something as simple as to show the battery percentage you have to install a widget or swipe from the left and then down. Why? I'm Android you have choices, the choice the battery percentage on screen or not, from the notifications you can delete emails, from widgets you can long press and change size, location, information to display without any other apps. Again, personal preference. And after dealing with all of that , I thought once you get to the app, both phones are the same, minus the interaction. I had both phones side to side for 3 days and i always went to the pixel at the end of the day but by no means I think one is better than the other.
