Got a Pixel 6, so I won't be swapping this year, the most important update to me actually is the metal visor as that was the only part where the 6 had plastic involved so that didn't feel very premium after having other full glass/metal phones around for 5 years

This is definitely a big plus for me! My pixel 6 managed to get a small crack around the microphone which led to microphone failure during video calls and muted me on speaker calls. Eventually led to more liquid getting in, leading to it's disappointing demise.

I just ordered this phone, should be delivered tomorrow. Very excited to receive it, I went for the obsidian but it will generally be in a case so fingerprints shouldn't be an issue. This is a great review, like other comments here I love watching your reviews 👍

@@JohnRock14 Yeah I like it a lot, camera is fantastic, fingerprint sensor works over 90% of the time and I'm loving how smooth it is to use. My only criticism is the 'fast charging ' which isn't as fast as it could be

@@psychoalert1823 still loving it, again fast charge would be good but no way a deal breaker. My battery life has got better and better, generally I get 8 hours at least screen on time. Camera is awesome , very good quality pictures

However, like in my Pixel 6, I miss all the extra brands like Xiaomi and Oppo or Samsung have, like dual video recording and lots of editing options (especially Xiaomi's Gallery app!) and shooting modes

I have the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 7. Disappointed with the 6 but not the 7!! 7 is lightning fast. Amazing phone sound quality and speaker is too. Slightly smaller better too. This is the best Pixel since the first one IMHO.

Is the screen actually flat? I had the Pixel 6 which fell from sitting height (bad pockets) and it landed just perfectly on the slight curve at the edge of the display and cracked. First time it has ever happened to me on any phone.

Does the Pixel 7 have the "rainbowing" effect on a white screen when tilted back and forth (tinted green and pink bands that move depending on the tilt) . I have the 6a and it is very off-putting. Was tempted to upgrade to Pixel 7, but not if the same the happens.

Are the phones released in China better? My MI 10 (2019) has been struggling for the past year, no signs of the interchangeable lenses yet, so 3 times now I've tried to upgrade, I got a pixel 7 this week and I'm not happy. First the battery needs charging 2x daily, the Bluetooth speaker connection is glitchy, the white balance makes taking photos of my white bunny a task. Asking hg to take a screenshot is doing my head. And it's not as good as my MI 10, what am I supposed to do x

I have the 8 and picked up the pixel 7 but I'm really contemplating returning the pixel because while battery life is amazing, I'm experiencing some weird things happening when the phone is off. Phone off and I still lose (or gain) a few percents. So I've tested a few times charge to 100 and phone is off for a few hours and I lose 4-7% once I turned it on immediately. How and why? Turn phone off at 9% at night and 9 hours later turn it on and I'm at 12%. How??? Why??? While battery life is great, I still feel like this is very concerning and could be unreliable in the long run.
