Ambos son pesos pesados, personalmente me encantó el Pixel , atrapa más detalle que el samsung , y en video también me quedo con el pixel , su paleta de colores me parece mas acertada que la del s23 ultra ya que este último quema mucho las altas luces, lo que inclina la balanza a favor del s23 es el zoom, pero no sé si tanto como para ser mejor que el pixel 8

I have both phones and was initially disappointed with the S23 Ultra video compared to the Pixel 8 Pro. However, I went into the advanced video settings and turned on HEVC, prioritized video quality, enabled high bitrate video, and HDR10+. This made a dramatic difference in the video quality of the S23 Ultra, and it now looks much better but still not much in it, you could make an argument for either phone camera wise, but if i had to go down to one phone then id got s23 ultra, better battery, better soc and more storage, but the AI on the pixel is impressive , I.D mobile here in the uk have a great deal on both phones

The Pixel takes the best photos in auto mode out of the box in my opinion. The S23 Ultra has the best Pro mode for those who really know about photography however. It also has the best zoom image quality, but the Pixel pushes it very close and it deserves praise here. Video wise, I just find the Pixel's video has too heavy an AI generated look that it makes it look too contrasty and almost cartoon like in some scenarios. Video on the S23 Ultra can look excellent indoors, but outdoor conditions can make it over expose a bit too often, and I have had to manually override exposure and set it to underexpose heavily sometimes to get the video image that my eye sees in situations like videoing in deep woodland for example. Both devices could do better overall.

Seeing comments that the Pixel 8 Pro has a better camera is wild when seeing these comparisons. The detail is way clearer on the S23, it's almost like the camera is smoothing and hiding detail on the Pixel. Look at the hand on the bus stop sign, the AD 1840 sign's pockmarks, the gradient on the flowers and you can see a crazy amount of detail just straight up lost. And the video was terrible in comparison, made his face look like it was using Unreal Engine 3 lighting on the Pixel. The S23 might be less vibrant, but that's because the photos and videos look natural, not like they've been filtered and touched up.

As an owner of the S23 Ultra, I should be disappointed that the Pixel was better in some aspects. The Pixel 8 Pro did very well with more contrast without blowing out the sky. Both are have good video. What surprised me is how good the Pixel 8 Pro telephoto was at 10x digital. I think the 48 mp 5x telephoto camera helps. I won't make me swap from my S23 Ultra, because there are things the Pixel can't do.

You shouldn't be disappointed about that. Samsung can not win it all. The same goes to the Pixel or also for the iphone for that matter. I'm not 100% sure but I've got the feeling that the front facing video has been slightly affected by the OneUI 6.0 update. Sadly I don't have another S23 Ultra on OneUI 5.1 to test it. I own pixel 7 pro and s23u . In the late autumn and winter i prefer photos from s23u, that extra brightness and saturation coming handy now, cos pixel photos are just too dull and too dark now. Its opposite in spring and summer, then photos from s23u are way too bright/overexposed and over saturated, photos from pixel 7 pro then are just perfect 👌

​​@@aspj5132in a low light indoor scenario it's shutter speed is too slow for sure, but in outdoor better lit conditions, it can freeze action brilliantly. I have caught the wheel spokes of a passing classic motorcycle at a dead stop, in a picture I took when using my 23 Ultra on a sunny July day for example.
