I have the obsidian 8a and for the most part I love it. Google does have room for improvement on the 9a. Overheating is the biggest issue on the 8a. Even doing simple things like web browsing. And despite the actua display, it is lacking at times on brightness and screen dimming as well. Battery life could be a bit better and the battery usage doesn't show the proper screen time. That being said, it is well worth it for the 8a if you can find a good deal on it. Picked mine up through Verizon at my Wal Mart for $360. At that price even with the few issues it is a great deal for everything you get.

Got one last week. I like having a standby phone in case my Motorola breaks. The water resistance and quad lock cases won me over. Might be worth a screen protector. 👍
