I love my Pixel 9 Pro XL versus my S24U, the software experience and the pixel experience in general is amazing. I even went as far as to get rid of my Z Fold for a Pixel Fold! Benchmarks are irrelevant to most users and it's similar to a car, one isn't necessarily better because it has more horse power or towing capacity or even MPG. It is all up to the user and what their needs are.

I actually have the pixel 9 fold and absolutely love it. I have an iPhone 16 pro being delivered tomorrow which will be my "back up" phone for the free secondary line. I also have a z fold 6 that im considering selling as got it at release but havent used it since i got the P9F.

bought 6 pro a few month ago. Love it! Use the camera all the time and love it. Overheating doesn't affect any of my expirience using phone and gaming on it as much as I do

I recently revived my coworkers 6 Pro and I agree except I use Zoom a few times a week and I cannot count on the phone to make it through a call. Sometimes good. Other times in 5 minutes the phone is toast and I lose my data connection. Same thing I experienced when I got the phone back in '21. Battery life is also not something to count especially if I'm out taking photos and videos.

I had the S24U but traded it for this phone. The 9 Pro XL is a great experience... I like seeing what the "Android experience" vision is supposed to be. I liked Samsung UI but prefer this version of Android. The hardware has finally caught up to message the experience much better

Same here with the Pro 7 👍 Real test for the 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL will come 2 to 3 years down the line. How many will be durable enough in terms of the battery and build quality to last that long? It certainly feels like it has a stronger battery and better build quality but they are still brand new devices and it's early days. It's a big ask but that's what I want to see from Google. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro was the only phone that I have kept for 3 years.

I think the Google Pixel is the perfect smartphone because it nails the major pillars of a good smartphone, adds some interesting and well-implemented features that even "normal" users can benefit from, and gives you the freedom and flexibility of the Android operating system.

I'm glad they've sorted out these issues. I switched from iOS to Android 3 and a half years ago and my experience with the pixel 6 pro was so disappointing. I really wanted to like that phone but it had so many issues I switched to an s23 ultra which thankfully was amazing and kept me on android. Just glad there is more choice in phones which is always a good thing. By the way nice Seamaster 300 quartz! Stunning watch

I was thinking of giving up on the Pixel after my hardwear on the Pixel Pro 7 showing faults and making it unusable approx 20 months in. Other options would have been purchasing the iPhone 16 Pro from a store in the UK or getting a Chinese phone like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra or the Vivo X100 Ultra from an eBay deal. Was getting frustrated with DPD not delivering to the Pixel 9 Pro XL from my network EE due to DPD couriers and they finally arrived a week ago on the day I had given them a final opportunity to deliver. The Pixel 9 Pro XL appears to be a definite improvement on any of their previous models I have had. The 9 Pro XL feels a far better build quality and has good early signs of a battery life improvement. I am really impressed with the new bezels, camera bar and Gorilla Glass Victus. The Matt effect back panel on the new Pixels doesn't even feel like it is made of glass, it is really nice. The real test for these new Pixels will come 2 to 3 years down the line when we see how durable they are though. They have to show that they are lasting at least that long.

Nothing wrong with the iPhone design, it looks great and feels incredible in the hand, so well balanced while holding it. The problem with the iPhone is with all the asinine Apple software limitations and stupid solutions, but this is another story. I agree, Pixel 9 is now almost as good as the rest of the bunch when it comes to the hardware, unlocking works well, the signal is maybe better than before but it is still a crappy Samsung modem compared to Qualcomm. Overall it is a good phone, but to me the software is why I use Pixel, Xiaomi and Samsung got better with their skins, but still it is very intrusive.

The shutter lag of taking photos of moving objects with any Samsung phone is hideous, I have both an s23 ultra and a Google Pixel 9 pro XL and the difference is night and day. The camera on the pixel is far superior I don't know if it has to do with the hardware or the software on the Samsung maybe both but you cannot get those quality pictures or in my opinion even video on the Samsung to the quality of the pixel.

I pre ordered a pixel 9 pro and traded in my old pixel 2 which was sitting unused in a drawer for the last four years and got £243 off the £1000 price and keep my old pixel 5 as a family back up phone. £757 is a bargain and undercuts Apple and Samsung. Loving my new 9 pro.

Went from Pixel 6 to Pixel 9 Pro. The 9 Pro is smoother. The 6 was starting to freeze a lot. Strangely, both have the same quirk however. When I unlock the phone, it doesn't always go directly to the starting page. Instead, it opens in an app. Am I the only one who experiences this?

Is there any alternative to Samsung routines and good look apps in pixel nine pro XL? The reason is,I have really used to routines and good luck app and also sound assistant app. The reason sound assistant app gives option we can play two musics at a time and even control the volume individually. Example at a same time i can play song from youtube music at low volume and at the same time i can play workout app instructions loudly is this possible in 9 pro xl and also in routines i can turn on and off wifi bluetooth mobile data based on location or certain time period which makes Samsung unique and very helpful.

The only reason why I'm happy that iPhone 16 Pros were released, they helped stop Google's 🦬💩 that majority of Western youtubers had started repeating like a mantra "Power is useless, optimization is key", well, now it turns out that the iPhone 16 Pro are overpowered (at least 2 years ahead of the Pixel 9 Pro ) and super optimized, and this for the same price, or even less in certain circumstances, this will clearly slow down Pixel 9s sales in the West, and elsewhere (especially in Asia), the Pixel 9s are not even an option 🤧 Frankly, this Apple-like 🍏 logic "offering very little hardware but selling very expensive under the guise of magical software optimization" should not prosper on Android 🤧 🚶🏽‍♂️ 🚶🏽‍♂️ 🚶🏽‍♂️

Steve you absolutely can notice the stutters. Scrolling anything just feels like the feed is glued because of the micro stutters. It will try loading as it scrolls and its, not a verry good experience. Shutter lag is still present on the cameras, you're telling me you can press the shutter button, and it will register every time? The video and all the artificial ghosting in the video quality. How can I put the pixel 9 pro next to my pixel 4 and they were the same in opening apps, if were going by KZbin Metrics. Fractions of a second aren't noticeable right? Unless you're coming from a budget device then you might feel like it's an upgrade, but if you're on something like an iPhone 12 pro, S23 ultra, vivo x90 pro, any one plus pro device, then you will definitely see the performance gaps.

I will never purchase another Samsung branded device since last year my washing machine failed under warranty and they didn't cover it because they said it had calcium build up. I have since learned they do not cover damage sustained by shipping or damages caused by user error.
