The rubber port covers on the Defender series cases don't seem to last very long. Over time, they end up splitting across the seam. They don't give when opening. When the charger is plugged into the port on the phone, it puts constant stress on the port cover of the case. A design flaw that I'm surprised they have not fixed by now. - Great comparison video as usual! ☺️

The defender is still the best case they make. I never liked the clear case because how many companies and come out with a generic clear case and charge 50 bucks for it. It’s ridiculous imo.

I had a Otterbox Defender many years ago and loved it. The critique about the rubber bowing out was not something that I recall experiencing. The shape of the rubber may deteriorate if the phone gets removed from the case too often. I bought a Google Pixel 9 Pro just a day ago and I am seriously considering ordering a Otterbox Defender for it.

I have the otterbox symmetry case for my pixel 9 pro XL and I feel let down that the camera cover is not very raised,what do you think I'd like to know if you think it's still ok to use , please reply 🙏

I've been using the Otterbox defender cases exclusively for all my phones, this one though falls short - no proper protection for the camera, just a slightly raised edge. I would have expected Otterbox to come up with something better, instead of just another no-so-well thought out copy of a case that worked well on the Iphone, but definetely not on the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

Why didn't you show the defender pro? It's much better than just the defender. I've used mine forever and it doesn't do the things you say it will over time

The pro isn’t any different and in fact having antimicrobial coating on it isn’t actually good because it causes bacteria to become resistant to it.
