Google pulls ads on meteorologist tracking climate for ‘unreliable and harmful claims’

A meteorologist who worked on climate studies at NASA says satellite observations show the Earth is warming at the “bottom end” of climate models - but Google has demonetised his website.
Dr Roy Spencer said Google was "not specific about what claims" led to the decision.
“What their website tells me is that all of my whole website basically is unreliable and harmful claims,” he said.
“If people like myself don’t buy into the narrative that global warming is not only occurring but it’s going on at a catastrophic rate and we have to do something about it, if you don’t go along with that narrative, you get thrown under the bus.”
Dr Spencer, formerly a senior scientist for climate studies at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Centre, told Sky News Australia his global temperature dataset started with John Christy over 30 years ago is unlike any other because it’s from satellites and “covers the whole Earth”.
“If we do an apples-to-apples comparison between the satellite measurements and what over two dozen climate models have predicted since 1979, for that same layer (troposphere) we, our measurements, are actually at the bottom end of all those models,” he said.
“In other words, the warming we see is lower than most if not all of those models, so there is a discrepancy between what the observations are showing, which shows about an average of 0.13 degrees Celsius per decade warming, which is a very small number compared to the climate models which are generally twice that at least.”

I'm kind of a weather junkie and would look at the temperature plots from all over the world including the polar regions everyday on the interactive radar. Over a year ago, most of the temperature plots of the polar and subpolar regions were removed. I thought to myself maybe they don't want us to see it because we might be seeing trends they don't want us to see. I then thought I was being a conspiracy nut. Now I'm not so sure.

The debate was an hour long with a Q&A and by the time it was over it made me want to investigate the many claims that were being made. I read Dr Spencers book Climate Confusion and then another book by Dr Tim Ball and immersed myself in understanding the argument being put forward by the skeptic community. Now after careful consideration of many of the facts I find myself to be a skeptic. The most amazing thing that I experienced after this journey was the lifting of a level of anxiety about our existence that I didn't even realise I had.

We have access to these tools ourselves. I've been tracking this since the mid-90s. Also I'm a person that goes out of my way to not pollute my surroundings. Global warming is a real thing, all you have to do is take a glance at Venus. This is my problem. USA taiwan, japan, France, Germany, Sweden, every first world country is producing about the same amount of average carbon emissions. 150 ppbv's. New York City is the most polluted place and the United States at 500 during its peak. China is producing 2,000 up to 3,000 units on average. There's a few key cities that almost never drop below 5,000. Yets everyday I hear from the left that we need to curb our missions but not one single person is pointing out the fact that even if every first world country stop producing carbon emissions completely. The only warming due to humans we have measured is that due to the urban and airport runway heat island effects that have contaminated the surface data sets. We see this clearly by comparing the USHCN ( US Historical Climate Network) showing significant warming with the more recent pristine USCRN (US Climate Reference Network) - based on the World Meteorological Standard 1 compared to the former only containing 10% of such sites - that shows cooling in the contiguous USA over the years since 2005.

The factors involved in producing a climate is multivariate, to the order of perhaps tens of thousands of independent considerations. We do not currently have the capacity to factually understand all of these considerations such that we can point our finger at any one thing and prove it to be the primary cause of a particular climate behaviour. It's just all too complicated. ...if we ARE able to do this, than go ahead and ask a climatologist exactly the percentage of warming that is anthropomorphic. Is it 55%? Higher? Maybe 75%? No reputable scientist will give you a precise number, because there is NO science in this field yet that can produce that sort of accuracy. One would do well to stop and ask themselves why that is. I think you'll find it is the same reason why the complex weather models we've built to estimate the climate 5,000 years ago cannot even accurately predict what the weather was yesterday. As complex as these models are, the actual, real-world factors that contribute to climate are endlessly breathtaking and make these models look like children's toys. Don't get me wrong - it is a good study and it is good science - but there is no way that particular conclusions should be excluded from the conversation on the basis that they don't align with the narrative. This is NOT good science.

For people to start getting anxious because last summer seemed hotter is quite the panic reaction. As far as any models go, they are just that.....models. I only have to ask one question when it comes to science, and that is who's funding it? I always say science is factual, but the scientists can and will be bought off. The "science" around climate change or more specificall global warming is 100% a left wing agenda based science. The fact that this gets any cred through the news media or documentary as teaching material is as ludicrous as if flat earth was treated this way. Its opinion and agenda science if ever there was any. So for me, I'll take my own life experience as my evidence. Your right about that, Look at all the historic benchmarks that have been set in the past and then never actually came to fruition. There was supposed to be a number of glaciers that were completely receded by now the North Pole the ice on the water is supposed to be killing the polar bears and I'm supposed to have an ice cream Arctic zone in the summer time none of that has happened. There are actually a handful of glaciers that are actually growing not receding. HOWEVER, this guy has a lot of credibility and if he can provide verifiable data based on his research then Jesus Christ he should be listened to and not receive this type of treatment. Every so often there is a wobble in the rotation (or whatever) and a damaging ice age happens. We are just coming out of an ice age now. We must remember that when CSIOR was asked to present scientific evidence of man made climate change they couldn't provide any abd ended up stating that the CSIOR had never claimed that man made climate change was real or that we are facing an existential threat, despite the fact that Politicians and media personalities have claimed that they have.
