I'm not sure about Gemini replacing Google assistant... I've been using both on my S24 ultra....and assistant still performs better in a lot of tasks.

Gemini is a product for users, and not on all Android devices. Google I/O is a developer conference. I don't quite understand why Google I/O is talking about Gemini. I mean, what do you want us Android developers to do?

Weird that there are Hundreds of millions of Android users yet all the videos via official Google, Android etc. accounts have barely any viewers. Suggests that the vast vast majority of Android users doesn't actually use all these fancy new features. Especially none of what is limited to specific devices like Google Pixel. Honestly even Android 14 on current devices feels kinda meh, buggy and not that customizable.
