This is incredible, I love how Polymer Project makes ideas happen, we are in 2020 and this remains relevant.

I love that kind of tool. It is very efficient to showcase a concept. Can get a different public. It remembered me the Google maps demo on the old Polymer Designer Tool (that totally convinced me to start with Polymer).

Remember the 1990s when visual RAD tools emerged in order to be productive designing UI applications? They're calling back (: Take a look at for instance Delphi, Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual Studio .NET, Blend, Visual Studio Code, JBuilder, Eclipse, NetBeans, and IntelliJ IDEA. Then remember these tools have evolved and now have full-blown refactoring support in them as well as that is the step you take after becoming visual: you go back to code. Then the circle continues.

I'm just starting to learn web development and Monica is on of my inspirations. I hope I'm as good as her some day.

This is plain awesome! Polymer lends itself nicely to a WISYWIG that actually works and generates nice code.

Great talk and cool tool! Agreed, there is a need for specialised tools for web designers and developers alike. Some complex CSS features lend themselves nicely to this, like CSS Grids, CSS Shapes or gradients.

This kind of thing exists for at least 20 years. Nothing new nor revolutionary to see here.

I dream about MS Access in Web. :) Any data store, option to create elements, repports, forms etc... built in public component libraries and component aggregators (button -> multiple versions) and so on. And instant option to host in AWS, GCS or on private host. :)

It is now 2018, Polymer 3 is not here yet. Less ans less people contribute, Polymer is going to die.

I'm more distracted by the meowing. It would have been better to silence the "words" out. It's cute and all but I don't think it works in this context.

There are no WebComponents. Just Polymer. They keep talking about WebComponents and even mention "vanilla js" WebComponents. And yet... Polymer, polymer databinding. Good luck using that toy with anything but Polymer.
