Not sure why you keep harping on about "rest" Tom. These lads need to play 3 days a week. That's the way it is. Bukayo usually gets subbed around 60/70 mins so the club are conscious of letting him sit down but if you really believe that world class players "want" to rest, then I think you're probably wrong sir!

Tiredness might be a reason Here’s a quote from Man City’s Rodri: “I do need a rest. Let’s see how we speak, how we live the situation. Sometimes it is what it is. I need to adjust. It [rest] is something we are planning, yeah.”

What’s being world class (which no arsenal player currently is) got to do with needing rest ? Look at the stats on the minutes saka has played. In fact, of the top 10 most minutes played by outfield players. Arsenal have 6 players on the list. You don’t have to be a doctor to understand fatigue, and that’s just talking physical. Add in the mental side of inexperienced players competing at levels that are new to them. It’s draining.

It would be plain stupid to let Jorginho go when we can activate an extra year of contract. He's an important squad player and one of the rare experienced players we have.

Last night I stumbled upon a highlights video for the under 21s game and saw Timber's name attached and so gave it a watch. I noticed Harry's commentary right away, he did a fine job. The goal Timber scored is that good I watched it back multiple times. He really is gonna be like a new signing (again, lol) when he finally returns to the senior squad. Thanks Tom for another great show!

The ballot system is a bit frustrating as a supporter who lives outside the country. I’d love to go to a home game but I can’t plan a holiday around a lottery. Hopefully they find ways to improve the system so those of us who travel from abroad can get a chance to get tickets without having to pay extortionate prices.

The curling shot Timber produced would end up in the back of the net at any level which I expected Martinelli to have developed and produce on a regular basis by now. I think if we develop our quality and ability to score from distance... defences would be afraid to drop too far back crowding the area right in front of the Goal therefore making the brickwalls more porous.

Really disappointed by martinelli this season. Just hasn't hit his stride. Injuries also a factor though

Just to say "Timber was subbed off for Tierney" literally minutes before Palmer's wonder goal. That's not to say that Timber would have defended the attack any better, however, looking back at that game he did look very much in control of things down that left side 🤔 If I remember rightly, it was Tierney who failed to stay tight on his man "Palmer" who managed to gain the space to cut in on his left foot and score his first senior goal which, as we all know, was a good one indeed. All in all, Timber did perform well, great goal aside, my only critique will be of him geting caught out couple of times on the counter, as a result of him pushing forward & inverting. He also played centrally defensive too... Featuring both in a more central role, but then mostly out on the left, clearly inverting and even moving to the right side, so playing somewhat of a "free" role 🤔 I would be inclined to think that this may have been an instruction from Arteta, preparing him for what is to come for the 1st XI 😃 P.S That 45mins or so, will do him the world of good, as towards the end of the first half he was blowing a bit, but that's clearly due to the lack of proper competitive match fitness, and will obviously improve over time & getting more minutes which I certainly hope he does before the seasons end, even if only for the under 21's, as the remaining 4 or so games will be extremely hard fought ones, against teams who are fighting their own battles, whether that be "top 4, top 6/7, and the relegation fight too. And I would think Timber's not quite ready for that level competitiveness, but who knows?

This is a comment. And you're absolutely correct Tom. I live in the States and I haven't been to a home match in 5 years. Basically haven't been since I moved back here. I try to get tickets constantly with money set aside to fly over should I get lucky and get tickets. If you'd have told me even a month ago that tickets for Chelsea AT THE Emirates would've been easily gettable I'd have jumped at the opportunity and been thrilled.

Chelsea actually hadn't lost in 8 games in a row before this match. A testament to our team. Our TEAM. On other content: I personally despise Bruno Guimares, after that jorginho attack I just never want to see him again, certainly NEVER in an Arsenal shirt. Harder for me to watch live now Tom since it's now at 7 am and I'm busy getting the kids ready for school, but thanks for your hard work mate.

I was watching the Arse v Blackburn gane Timber mustve scored before i tuned in . Drewsbury pretty dedent & Blackburn also kept a dedensive structure in fact both teams attacked in the sane way .

Pls consider doing a small discussion about this "Rice is the happiest man in the world" Thomas Partey is his dream partner. I've never seen Rice so free to express himself, not thinking too much about recovery. And that's because the Comander and Chief "Thomas Partey" is back When Partey is injured, it's easy to say sell him. But when he's fit, I say give him a new contract. This guy only makes this team better in every way. And Rice in that 8 role, this is surely his best game. I don't think we need an 8 in the summer, i think we should just get a CDM to cover Partey when he's unavailable, and when it's the worst case scenario, we still have Rice as that 3rd option in that position.

This team you'll agree needs experience, I say let's keep Partey as that experienced man. He's not even gonna be first option which will give him more recovery time and less likely to get injuries. Plus, he's already here. We're not paying any transfer fees to bring him in If you still disagree, pls start a poll at the start of tomorrow's show asking if we should keep Partey as the second CDM option or keep Jorginho as the second CDM option next season. And pls, don't say anything to influence the community. When give your opinion, they'll just agree with you

Listening back on the pod... The ballot system is terrible. Been on the season ticket waiting list for 10 years, a paying red member/junior gunner for as long as I can remember, and the fact that after having paid an annual membership fee you have to pay again to enter a ballot just to have a chance to win a ticket or then get one via the exchange is a disgrace. The system doesn't reward the average local fan who previously would have attended a handful of games per season, or the average fan abroad, or general football tourism. Don't blame the fans who can't attend a rescheduled game, blame the club because they've not put in place an inclusive, loyalty-rewarding system that allows those tickets to be quickly snapped up.

I've re-read my comment to check where I've suggested someone should get preferential treatment and can't see where you've taken that from except for me just sharing my personal experience. The 2nd part of the comment is arguing the system should be open and inclusive to all membership levels. And there may or may not be already - a percentage of tickets/packages made available to the general public for visitors wanting to include an Arsenal match in their holiday itinerary.

I said it a million times and I will say it againnnnn we keep searching for a left 8, Odegard is the perfect left side 8 especially when we get back Timber at left back and Martinelli on the left wing. Saka has to work to dam hard starting from the touch line and make his way inside for a shot. Odegard is trigger shy, Saka is not. Jesus on the right wing and Ben White at right back. Trossard/Haverts on top at number 9.
