+Tamara Unklesbay If you are younger (even early twenties). Your voice is supposed to sound airy. It's perfectly normal and beautiful. Just whatever you do don't force it! You will ruin your voice if you do. If your not younger it just means you need to practice! It takes a LONG time to strengthen your head voice. Don't get frustrated and what ever you do don't force it! It will strengthen and be so worth it. Head voice is so important. Just remember not to go around singing every where and all the time like me. That never turns out well........ 😜
@tamaraunklesbay68 жыл бұрын
+Laura Corum Thank you so much for the advice. Since I am younger, that is probably the reason. I just thought I was strange because all of my friends who are the same age as me have much stronger head voices. Then again, they have been signing for a lot longer than I have. I'm just going to keep practicing how I have (with my vocal coach, who would tell me if I was forcing it) and hope one day it will be stronger

Well, Eponine is definitely the hardest one for a male voice, since it can’t be straight up falsetto like Cosette and most of Fantine (the Cosette is actually relatively easy since you never have to leave falsetto at all). For Eponine, he has to sing in a light full voice, then move into a kind of mezza-voce for the beltier bits. Impressive stuff

having a higher or more feminine voice does NOT making him "gay" nor does it mean that this is "fake". all singers have different ranges and generally, different voices. nick is extremely talented and was blessed with a gift, the gift being his voice. this is not something anybody should react negatively to, this is him, and this is simply him doing something that clearly makes him happy, and i can guarantee he isn't doing for anybody else except him. negative comments are not necessary, keep them to yourself, how would you feel if someone hated on the one thing that you loved to do? you probably wouldn't feel to good. personally, i am a huge fan of nick, his voice sends chills through my body and it is such a pleasure to listen to him. wonderful job nick, as always. it's such a dream of mine to sing with you one day. xo

Excellent job. A pity your male tenor voices don't sound really "masculine". But your lady voices are just spot on.

That was amazing! Why have I not heard of Nick Pitera & the amazing gift he has to perform? His vocal range and, delivery of each song added something fresh the beautiful music I thought I'd heard performed in every conceivable arrangement/style over the years made my neck tingle. Beautiful.....👏

He could easily be Eponine. Close your eyes when he sings her parts, it fits perfectly! Even the slight gruffness of the voice is perfect as Eponine would have a slightly less well-spoken tone.

You must not have seen Glee. The guy who plays Kurt sounds nearly like this.
@julixjt10 жыл бұрын
Jacob Case Thing is, Kurt's voice already sounds a bit feminmine (not insulting, just a fact), and he could never sound like a Javert or something, while this guy can becuase they have dfferent tones.

Chris Colfer has a really low voice too. He just chooses to sing countertenor. Can't blame him, he's great.

I’m just impressed that you would stand there silent in each take waiting for the appropriate cue to come up, Nick Pitera. I don’t think I would have the patience to wait patiently so long and not just jump to the appropriate lead-in point. I am a countertenor as well, but what I lack is the ability to so effortlessly shift into falsetto. Incredible voice.

He actually edited a fairly long stand-in clip to the parts that were not singing. You can see the edits before that panel starts their part.

This is an ABSOLUTE GEM. You are an artist, really. I have never seen anyone who would be able to sing like this. After watching this video, I had to show this to my mother who loves Les Miserables very much, and she liked this incredibly much, it almost made her cry. A huge thumbs up from me!
