4 Kingdoms Fight Over 100 Islands! - WorldBox Battle Royale

Hey guys! Continuing on with the "lots of islands" thing we've been doing a lot of lately, today we are going to shake things up and do only a few kingdoms fighting over 100 islands!
Mods I use:
PowerBox (For adding traits, and additional powers)
MoBox (For spawning zombie animals and additional creatures)
CrazyBox (Adds additional traits)

i can explain the early game attractive + ambitious is contradictory, they’re too focused on world domination to have kids genius + lucky is also contradictory, they just figured that they’ll be lucky and clutch it giant + strong work together well and don’t negatively affect their motivation veteran + regen is insanely powerful, hard to kill plus even kids are born with life experiences

I would like to propose a layout: 1 giant ring island that goes around the whole map and all kingdoms start there, but there are islands inside the ring island. That way if a trait/kingdom will just not prefer ship colonization they could still take over the whole ring if their traits are strong enough, but other kingdoms still could battle them by escaping into the middle islands

@@fidoruh or have multiple rings, everyone starts on the outside then materials get better the further inland you go (eg outer ring people, second ring silver and gold, inner island has the red and black ore)

Make the Islands a bit bigger it seems to be That a lot of the problems are caused by the space and maybe where their docks are on the rounded edge making then unable to access it to build boats? Also some are populating faster then others because of the areas they put their houses aka poor city planning

Also Selective Trait Inheritance might be also the problem since if one of the newborn has a new traits like weak and ugly for example, it will 100% give it to their offsprings so even if the kingdom has a attractive traits, if they have ugly it doesn't really add up that match so

I think ambitious mixed with civil war being turned off turns them into focused war mongers (if civil war is on theyre more likely to fight amongst themselves). Maybe try the same setup but mix ambitious with a bad trait, like weak. See if they're still as aggressive.

@@grantarmstrong2968 Makes sense, plus at 4:14 you'll see there was a member of the supermodels who somehow didn't have the 2 defining traits of the civilization; Attractive and Ambitious. I don't think this affected too much in the long run, as selective breeding probably made sure this didn't last too long - maybe that one guy was the only guy who missed the traits - but still odd.

Maybe you could give all the kingdoms ambitious? Idk if it works how I think it does, but I'm guessing it makes them more likely to try and expand? If not ambitious, maybe some other trait would do it. But I feel like the random kingdoms not expanding out could be fixable.

Ambitious traits makes the holder of trait more likely to become a war and king role driven so yeah Attractive and Ambitious is good for taking over lands could also be their downfall if the rebellion is own cause most people want to become king now and would try to take over the kingdom.

nah pretty sure they just got a bad trait bred in when they were low pop, something like content in early game would cause them to never intentionally take over an island.

I have watched a lot of your videos in general, but I am pretty sure I know what happened here: Selective Breeding The Smart Boys probably had one of the traits that causes them not to expand, and slowly all the generations after got that same trait. They were just content with what they had. The Supermodels, I noticed the 3-4 that you all selected were immortal. I think what happened, is around the time you saw those weird fluctuations in their population someone was born with immortal, maybe even more than a single person, and they started breeding immortals. You have multiple people over a thousand years old, and they don't really die from old age, or hunger, so they can kind of just get past bad conditions. Also, if any of them end up soldiers that experience never goes away unless they are killed. As a side note, I think the selective breeding is actually bad for these videos because they reinforce traits to the point that as soon as someone is randomly born with it, everyone will get it. Depending on when they get it in the time line, it can be extremely impactful. I think you need to go back to giving everyone the traits every 50 years or so. It would actually be helpful if someone modded in preset traits selections you could just back to and hand out, instead of having to redo it every time. Anyways, cool video, please keep making them, they are enjoyable.

Another weird thing, I have made many attempts to make a single, human empire run an entire map, but it is not as simple as turning revolts off, and island will not be captured because for whatever reason, kingdoms will not ever make a boat if there is not another nation, absolutely no idea why- even if the other nation is on the same island, no idea why this is. Perhaps the inhabitants will believe they are on the only landmass, and there is nothing else to conquer.

Turning off rebellions is actually a debuff to humans. I think humans cooperate with themselves much better than the other races so turnig it off just takes their major strength away

Damnn i would love to have more civs in worldbox, like goblins, trolls, halflings( hobbits), centaurs,giants, etc. It would give a lot more depth and possibilities to the game! Another good idea would be horses, cavalary, and siege weapons like trebuchets, that would be SPICY too! Also, maybe finally do something different than these islands, i'm not saying i hate the islands, no, they're amazing! But, it's still getting a little repetitive. Here's some ideas: 100 islands, but the four races get all the good traits at once. Forcing a civilization to survive on a completely Frozen world. Or maybe.. try to make an extremely OP guy with all of the good traits as well as the crazybox traits like demigod and titan( also using the powerup and coffe) with very OP gear fight against a super advanced civilization of orcs, cause orcs are always the strongest and the most militaristic. Sorry for bad english and not to many ideas, i'm currently ill and i feel like crap RN. Thanks for the vid Gorg, and happy easter!

In case you didn't know, diplomacy of a king has an important effect on how fast the kingdoms expand and what is their final limit. You can check this by clicking on a kingdom and checking how many towns they have out of N. You could try boosting this trait up for them to make them expand more aggressively.

I think expansion depends on their Kings! The nerds couldve gotten a Pacifist King which would slow down their want to expand drastically whereas the Super Models couldve gotten an Ambitious or Bloodlusted King which made them super aggro!

I think this would be much better if it were only the given traits that got passed down no matter what, because constantly inheriting more and more random traits as population grows just means every population past a certain point has the same traits, being all of them. Don't know if that's even an option, but it could be cool

You should do one where 4 kingdoms are split across the map, separated by mountains, with a corrupted area in the middle. You could wall them all off from it at the start, wait 1000 years, let them advance and grow in their own separate area, then open up the passages to "the underworld" where they'll try to expand, and end up fighting each other. 1 orc, 1 elf, 1 human, and 1 dwarf kingdom, each starting out with 4 good traits and 2 bad traits that relate to their species. So something like stupid, ugly, strong, giant, veteran, and fast for orc. Dwarves could be tiny, slow, strong, tough, cold resistant, and ambitious. Elves could be weak, pacifist, eagle-eyed, fast, agile, and lucky. Humans could be greedy, gluttonous, attractive, ambitious, deceitful, fast. As they die in the middle while at war, they'll turn to ghosts and skeletons, which might then attack any one of their settlements.

So a common problem with super speed is that it bugs out the AI of units and makes them just do nothing. Causing famines and stunted nation growth. A fix is to just go back to 5X to fix it.

Also I have noticed that sometimes you are kind of confused where the fire in certain places come from (like in this vid when buildings got destroyed though they had the same race). There is a trait called 'Pyromancer' which makes a creature release a fire spark (like bandits did in previous updates)
