@@ceterisparibus8966 Yes she did say that because in the Chinese culture, especially rich family that owns businesses like her ex husband, it is a desired thing to have sons to carry on the family name. In Michelle case, she wasn't able to conceive at all. That explains the separation.

Also couldn’t have kids and we tried for many years. Eventually my ex husband left me in the middle of in vitro. We will never friends after such a betrayal (insisting on destroying 6 frozen embryos) and I will not be anyone’s stepmother. It is as it is. I will not pretend to let it go, when no kindness was shown to me. My experience was much more brutal and that’s why going forward I plan only my freedom.

I love both of these incredible women....from Crouching Tiger to Star Trek to Everything Everywhere All at Once, Michelle Yeoh has had one of the most brilliant careers in acting....I had ran into Gwyneth Paltrow at an airport in Nice France in 2001....and she was the nicest most gracious, friendly and unpretentious person, as she briefly spoke to me at the baggage claim....
