@@adumbberg do you mean before the shutdown and after? We saw them in March of '19. They were the opening act for Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. It was 2 weeks before the shutdown. A lot of people were there just to see them because of the Peach 🍑 set (if you haven't, watch it you'll thank me later). They were good then, but great now! They keep evolving and just getting better. Now 8 shows in and each show is unique. The video for "Borne" proves how great they are.

I was wondering what his perception of the song was before he watched the video, and then after watching the video. Was also curious to hear any take from the 19 people that already liked his comment. I like the song. I think it's a bit vague, but vague is ok. Lyrics are wide open to interpretation, but generally speaking there's a thread of hope for the first 3/4 of the song and then it comes crashing down at the end. Dude says he's not tired but ends up laying his head down after all. Dude in the video appears to be struggling, trying to find himself. The images tell a story, but without the upbeat hope of the song. Perhaps jumping around with your hallucinatory bandmates is the hope? And then Dude in video seems to have had enough, and he lays his head down at the end of the video, just like the song. I like the video. I like the song. But I don't see a drastic difference in the two, other than the video misses out on some of the hope. I dig both video and song, but I do think they're both more style than substance and a bit unclear, like the lack of clarity in singing the words "ironclad heart." To each their own though. I'm always curious about other people's opinions of art. One commenter above has already cried three times listening to the song, and any music that has the ability to repeatedly move someone to tears means it's probably kick ass music. I like Goose and I hope to hear more from them for many years to come.
