I do love their experimentation on their Prop.. and I do love the trend with the trying to replicate a candy/dessert item.. Unfortunately, I've never had this Mexican candy that they're trying to replicate this year, so that part of this experience will go over my head. But I am really looking forward to this opening one come new year's eve

also for the record, the Spumoni prop and the Strawberry Ice Cream bar prop are definitely in my top 4 or 5 favorite BCS experiences ever

Terrific review gents. Your comments are in-line with other reactions I've seen/heard about the 2024 "Prop". While this year's "Prop" is interesting and adventurous, it doesn't seem to work well in a barley-wine format and perhaps would work better in a stout format. The Goose Island team in Chicago have to address the thinning of the "base" as well. It's literally diluting the Bourbon County Stout sub-brand by doing it and it's been a creeping element since the AB-InBev acquisition. Which is what many people feared from the beginning. AB-InBev is the "evil empire" of beer.

I love barelywine and couldn’t handle this one. I did not get any barelywine taste but I’m not a fan of peppers in beer. Some seem to like the peppers in there. I’ll take another old Fitz.

Man, that is a great question. I would say they have been more miss lately but overall, probably 50/50.
