He said one morning his sister (only 2 years older) saw a blimp and cried to their parents about them about to get bombed, so my grandparents took them to the nearby airport to show them the blimps and explain the importance of not taking stories too seriously (and then banned me from watching spooky content until I could confidently handle it) Unfortunately he only taught me that the true horrors are within the world around me, not in stories.

Gotta love that they butchered that episode so badly that the title doesn't even make sense anymore. For those that don't know, the plot of "Don't Go To Sleep" in the book was that the kid merged with a reality tear by sleeping in that old bed and every time he falls asleep reality itself gets twisted more and more. The reality police wanted to kill him before reality becomes completely unraveled and he decides that the only way to end it is to sleep in the old bed again to hopefully reverse the process. The episode was just like "whatever, he's reality hopping right? We'll just do a twist at the end where it looks like it was all a dream and then he gets attacked for no reason!"

Essentially, at the bottom of some pages, you are given a choice, and you flip to a certain page based on said choice. and the story can change drastically branch off into many different endings depending on what choice you make, some good, some bad. And example would be “you walk up to a sketchy looking salesman, he has only two things that he’s selling, and you can only afford one. The first is a beautifully crafted necklace that is said to grant eternal youth , and the other is a rabbits foot that the salesman says will eventually grant whoever has it infinite wealth. If you choose to buy the necklace, turn to page 72. If you choose to buy the rabbits foot, turn to page 35. If you choose to buy nothing, and leave, turn to page 28”

Wait I think I read a similar one! Kids were by their gramps in the woods! Gramps always cook food that theu don't eat, only to discover they were feeding a monster hidden somewhere in the house. The gramps were away when the kids discovered it (obviously.) So they have to fight that thing. I remember they defeat him only because he was allergic to humans and died when he tried to bite the girl. The kids get oit of the house, but there is a lovely twist at the end: The whole woods were full of monsters!
