Maryann all of my legal experts are saying SCOTUS will send it back to Chutkhan - just like you say- after deciding that there are some things the president is immune from in carrying out his duty. He is not immune from going after political enemies or inciting sedition against the Constitution. My gosh on the Ten Commandments in classrooms and Louisiana- I was born and grew up there. It's horribly sad. Education there is in shambles. I was a math and reading interventionist in New Orleans and have several friends who teach there. They are super angry. Since Common Core was put in place by the federal govt under BUSH- education has gone to pot in many places. Common Core was a GOP science project thrown together by a group of idiots who hadn't set foot in a classroom since they graduated high school. it has taken teaching out of the hands of educators and put it in the hands of legislators which is the last place it should be. Teachers need higher pay and fewer responsibilities - they are literally babysitters and now Sunday school teachers along with being teachers. I don't even know how that guy was elected. anyway hot on the heels of Louisiana passing this law Texas also has one up as well. I know because I moved to Texas from Louisiana. from bad to worse. I laugh because it's all I can do at the moment. It's just idiotic posturing and one more egregious waste of taxpayer money by the MAGA GOP. I am a fish out of water here in TX, but the only place I fit in Louisiana is New Orleans. We're not all MAGA GOPs in these backward red states.

Not just the south. Our Seditionist Governor in Iowa is trying to gut the schools in Iowa as well. The voucher program is killing public schools, especially urban, because well…you know why. 🤦‍♀️. She gave up MILLIONS in federal funds because “we” don’t need it to feed kids over the summer and now kids are going hungry even in the rural communities. Especially in the rural communities because there aren’t any safety nets in place there (red areas). She’s in a race to the bottom, been hanging out with DeSatan and Abbott too long. Damn. Didn’t want to even imagine that about SCOTUS. It’s a constitutional crisis. About 34 years ago , I hung out with some physicists looking at climate change and the socio economic impact and what humanity would look like at that point when our planet is beyond the warning period: social chaos, wars, civil wars, more authoritarian governments. Rich countries will manage better whereas poor will suffer the most because the more viable places on the planet will be too restrictive re: immigration. Also, a substantial drop in birthrate. I’ve been thinking about those conversations a lot lately.

Oh, it has been brutally hot the last few days. I am in between Philadelphia and Delaware. It rained about an hour ago. And I think it’s going to rain some more overnight thankfully. Today was OK.
