@mrmister0018 жыл бұрын
This system must be implemented in all 737, 747, 767 and 777 from Boeing. If a terrorist take control of the cockpit, then, pilots in a ground statation can land safely the airplane. No more September 11. Great job, amazing.

Human piloting will remain existing as sport, human pilot is the most ancient part of the plane, design is at least 500.000 year old and only resist a few Gs, so pilots will be no longer required to kill each other, and I like that.Most pilots at war ar fellows that just likes planes and wanted to fly and that has nothing to do with politycs

Excuse me but i just felt the need to point out and remind you that this is not a drone, and even drones have pilots behind the joystick. as for this QF16 well it is clear no pilot will be replace instead you will have a better pilot pulling more serious maneuvers without risking there lives hence more fierce style of piloting where the pilot do not have to cope with the Gforce which means TOTAL AIR SUPREMACY for decades to come i hate to admit it but great job her Love Luck Respect Lebanon

A fleet of these enter the most hazardous attacks and not a soul lost.These could be the radar jammers with a mix of other aircraft The pilot can be in Maryland and his aircraft in Afghanistan and the pilot has a air conditioned van and a bag of Cheetos and a coke never endanger himself in combat zone. Incoming planes could extend range by remote fueling of the drones. Planes could be lighter no ejection seat no oxygen system no radio radar would operate as normal but without a pilot it turns and g rates could be increased many times. The result take an old aircraft strip it down its lighter faster and did nothing but replace the pilot in the plane. Thats over a ton of gear and that alone shows in wing loading. Fuel use also goes down. I just wonder whats in the closet and this isnt it.

Neat. The AF however can't keep pilots in its drone programs (like teh predator and reaper), but they should recruit experienced flight sim guys as contract pilots. Much cheaper and they would love flying this (im one of those guys, this would be great). I had no idea they still used some QF-4s as chase planes.
@flatearthreset477710 жыл бұрын
I suspect soon they will recruit people to fly the drones at rc airfields and like you said anyone who fly sims from flight simulator to realfight7 can learn rather quickly to be a radio pilot for drones
@saburusakai10 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's a total waste of resources to make actual pilots fly drones, just absurd, as it does not take that much training to operate an oversized RC model. These sims I fly (like DCS) have all the systems of aircraft simulated and have to be studied and flown a considerable amount to stay current, so sim and RC guys would be more equipped to deal wiht this than actual pilot officers, and they would love it and work for much cheaper.
@jeffk4649 жыл бұрын
saburu sakai I'm guessing its easier to fly the plane in the cockpit than it is remotely. You have a lot better visual perspective and you can feel what the plane is doing.
@saburusakai9 жыл бұрын
Jeff K Roger that, sounds logical. I know htat in the sims I've flown over the yrs that the most important aspect of flying and controling them is beign able to congtrol where you are looking, and your view. I use Track IR, which tracks your head movements. Works great. Cant fly those things without it now.
@Kimballgoss9 жыл бұрын
+saburu sakai and +Al Silver don't get me wrong, but this logic, at least in my opinion isn't correct. Many people would make the same claim for Call of duty and real life warfare. "I'm good at it on a screen, so I would be good at it in real life". Personally, studying to become an aeronautical and astronautical engineer, I've flown many flight sims, and RC flight sims. I've also built my own RC quad copters, hexacopters, tricopters, and Airplanes. I can attest that it is significantly harder to fly a quad in real life, than on a sim. Just saying, it takes more technical skill and education than you think. Just throwing it out there. Please don't eat me alive for saying it.
@jameslemmate517710 жыл бұрын
does that mean the plane can dive without turning over ? as there is no one in the plane, I'm guessing there is no more problem with taking upward Gs.
@osirisvb11 жыл бұрын
unfortunately this is where cost cutting is headed. Humans cost money, humans also need supplies like (food, medicine, entertainment, etc), humans need R&R or we get tired and we start making mistakes and other lapses of judgement. A machine is not prone to any of this, a drone can fly for 35 hours straight without needing a rest or food or sleep and does not cost anything in pay roll.

Susan Keener Possibly but highly unlikely since all of today's avionics and software allow the pilot himself to fly and navigate in even very extreme conditions so with a droned unit and all the multifunction displays at the "desk pilot's" disposal and he doesn't even need to worry about any of the physical limitations that are part of physically flying the jet, it should be much easier.
