I just want to come back and reminisce, this is the video that inspired the 10 year old me to even pursue free skiing. It creates such a nostalgic feeling for me, I love it.

Stop hating on this ski resort and listen, this is a historical place, Mt hood holds multiple records. 1 (This is Timberline btw) it is the only place that you can ski all year round in America, famous skiers come to ski here during the summer. this video was probably taken around August thats why theres hardly any snow so stop hating. Also Mt hood has the largest night skiing in North America. Please stop dissing Mt Hood and respect it. Thumbs this up so people see please!

@jibbedmonkey Yes, this entire video is shot with the GoPro. The HD Hero has extremely good quality. I got mine a few months ago and haven't had a problem with it since.

This is one of the greatest GoPro vids out there. All you need to create a great vid like this is: 1) Great footage of 2) Great talent, coupled with 3) Great music and 4) Great editing. Easy ;)

@troutbum86 Dunno dude, it ain't the camera. There is some rolling shutter artifacts that you'll have with any digital camera under $750, but any stutters, hesitations, framerate drops, etc. are either your system, your connecion, KZbin, or something else. If you notice any stuttering at the beginning of the vid with the logo coming at you, then it's your system, because that was computer generated and obviously not taken with the camera.

@BlueRain225 so true, I prefer the speed of skis, never snowboarded, but the ease of the off piste stuff does appeal sometimes. the thing I will say is snowboarders are the main culprit (skiers do it too) of just stopping anywhere preferred places are on paths on blind bends or under bluffs in the middle of the slope. other than that we are kinsmen! Happiness being freshly waxed skis and sharp edges! bring on the winter!

They are both completely different disciplines, of course everyone's going to lean one way or the other, but neither is better than the other as they are so different that you can't compare the two. @iheartsteezeskiing I hope it's not a problem, if I do. -So, you can use without mount. -You can start the recording, and stop it with a button, and it saves it to the SD card.That's all. -It doesn't have a screen, but it has 170° view area, in 720p-mode, so it couldn't be a problem.

Is this captured at 30fps or 60fps? Is it edited under a 30fps or 60fps setting? Seeing as KZbin does not accept 60fps I'm thinking if I just capture all my GoPro HD vids at 30fps since my project settings and final encoded video is 30fps.

I have a go pro HD, and i have sony vegas 7. i cannot find any good rendering setings. the best i have found is WMV at 720p, but the file is way to large (300mb). im trying to get it around 100 - 150mb. any help?
