Freddy brother I've been riding and Racing for over 30 years. I've had old stuff that was so trashed out the chain wouldn't even stay on the sprockets, and later on has some really nice modern stuff. Work hard, work overtime shifts and save your pennies, and find yourself a 2004 Yamaha YZF 450. They are readily available, I looked on Denver Craigslist today and saw about 6 of them right around $1,500 each. Middle of winter, if you showed up with 1200 cash in your hand I almost assure you they would take it. Take care of that bike and learn to ride it and believe me, you will feel exactly like Ryan Villopoto looks on this video. Yes, he is going three times faster than you or I would go, but if you've ever ridden a dirt bike, it's all in the eye of the rider and speed is absolutely relative. Have fun and be safe!

think the frame is actually the only stock part on these bikes, the foot pegs are adjusted to suit height, position, what ever the rider likes.
@rallyrobin11 жыл бұрын
It woud be an intresting discussion about that, well i bet it is all the titanium parts and i think every factory rider got a custom built frame for their body and riding style i also think the frame isnt made out of aluminium + the engine is pretty much unknown if you know what i mean... his bike does not sound like the kxf450, suspension is the most expensive parts i guess...

Dungey is such a good sport, congratulating RV2 as soon as he won, what a champ. I wish dungey didn't doubt himself and rode a bit more agressive.
@cmv181011 жыл бұрын
I know right? Dungey can run with Villipoto and even beat him at times, but I feel like he doubts his own abilities sometimes. I feel like that's why he didn't have a good day at mx de nations this year. He didn't like the track and therefore doubted his ability to ride it, but yet the very next week when he felt confidence in himself at the redbull "give me five" event, he went out and beat Caroli, Roczen, and everyone else that beat him just the week before at mx de nations and won both races he did on the day. Unfortunately at this point in his career, I don't think it will change. Dungey will be the guy who is always "this close" to winning everything but never quite does.
@michaelyz404710 жыл бұрын
cmv1810 I agree, I want to see Dungey do well but he has to believe in himself first. He needs to start banging bars, racing is aggressive nowadays and if he doesn't sack up he wont ever do well.

cmv1810 dungey cheats he runs a bored 450 to 470cc while ryan runs a pro circuit modified stock 449cc engine must be the power upgrades that makes more HP but pro circuit is the reason why ryan is pure fast stock engine but tuned and power modified while still in the 450 class with no bored engine unlike dungey who does ryan is a beast i bet he runs nitrous aswel for extra power

It seems like his bike rev limits at a fairly slow rpm. They surely program their own chips, it'd be interesting to know what they are looking for in the way of performance at various tracks. It seems like he has it lugged down pretty low in places, you'd think he'd have it in a lower gear if there is one. But those engines make a lot of power, a taller gear would make it easier to control. Having 60hp suddenly come awake on a 200# bike has got to be a handful.

Since when does that mean it's true. The fact is that they can't put a price on many of the factory parts because they don't build them with intent to distribute. Therefore they can't say, "Yep, those triple clamps are $5,000!" It's all just guessing and estimating. Guesstimating.
