My general feeling is that with GoPro it only makes sense to upgrade to the newest version when at least two generations have passed. Year over year the improvements always seem incremental. However, when you wait a few generations, it's a much bigger leap and one can really appreciate the changes.

I agree. Every year doesn’t seem to be much good other than burning money.

The odd number updates tend to be the more stable and notable improvements. The even numbers are just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks, except for the 6 which is the only exception so far.

Dude I feel like I didn’t buy my GoPro _that_ long ago, and I realized it’s an effing Hero 7! Man, I’m getting old 😆

No worries man, they release a new one every year!

Bought the 11 this week after years of not wanting to record anything because my Hero+ was so bad. HUGE! upgrade for me. Finally excited to make some content.

I love my GoPro Hero 11 mini. I was using the old GoPro Session 4 and you can see how shaky those videos are on my old videos. I bought the New Mini for $200 on sale with a subscription to the GoPro Cloud for $50 per year. The GP Cloud had some old content that was saved from 5 years ago on my Session. Very cool having these extra services and APP features. GoPro is amazing! A must for Mtn bikers that want to save action videos
