I personally enjoyed Nicaragua way more than Costa Rica. It's still really laid back and low key, and way way cheaper. Just felt more authentic.

This video is amazing! I am planning a trip for March and would love some insight! I am staying in Tamarindo for 5 days, but can't decided where else to stay! any tips?

Yes, dont' go to Tamarindo and if you do, don't stay for 5 days, waste of time. Osa Peninsula has some very secret, marvellous top spots where you can surf and observe wild life (south of Puerto Jimenez, Drake's Bay etc, in video at 4:00 until end). If you're a surfer, you'll like pavones with one of the longest left-handers. If you're a party-chick, then you'll like San Juan Del Sur in Nicaragua just on the boarder of Costa Rica (Sunday Funday, also in video at 1:44). Playa Santa Teresa is more crowded than all the spots mentioned, but highly recommendable. Rent a good 4WD and have some fun. Cheers.

Mid-August - Mid-September, which was in the rainy season. But the weather along the coast was mostly fine, sometimes a few showers in the evening lasting 2hours. The weather in San Jose was often cloudy and rainy. Have a nice trip!

Bailey Rybak It`s not in Costa Rica. Place is called San Juan Del Sur in Nicaragua. Hotels Naked Tiger and Pacha Mama throw these parties every sunday. Great fun and highly recommendable!

It's called the "Tucan Terra" and you'll find it on the southern pacific coast, on the Osa Peninsula. It takes a 50-minutes-drive on bumpy roads from Puerto Jimenez. It's somewhere in between the beaches "Backwash" and "Matapalo". If you plan to stay there for a longer time, be sure to take enough food and drinks with you (No supermarkets, bars and restaurants down there) ;)
