Ture, usually i just put the gopro in a place and let it record, then the next time i go i put it in andifferent place, then after like 5 trips after a span of like 2 weeks i compile it and edit it into one video. Just me or do other people do this too?

Color correction and also working (stretching) 1440p material would be much appreciated by most people who want to get more out of their GoPros. Maybe consider releasing some in-depth guides to GoPro Studio and the various editing and color correcting options, as well as getting the most out of slo-mos. Thanks.

This is helpful, but I'm actually more interested in the editing proces and that's not really being explained in this video. I want to know things about where to cut the shots, choose music that fits, color correction, etc. I think that I won't be the person that wants to learn some more in-depth things.
@KingLuis19859 жыл бұрын
Jeroen agreed. this video is more like buy 10 go pro's and record everything. a guide to the editing software is what i expected.
@MintMacelodeon9 жыл бұрын
Jeroen its really easy for the music part, just choose energetic music and match the go pro footage to the beat!
@ernesin1499 жыл бұрын
Jeroen well. video editing and post production is a whole different field and science. i would recomend watching tutorials for whatever software you're gonna be using when editing. GoPro studio is good and user friendly but also very simple. Adobe premier pro or final cut pro would be able to do much more so its just up to you on learning little by little and be creative on how you edit things. takes time. but it can be done! ;)
@ohhFura9 жыл бұрын
ernesin149 I am experienced with editing already and I am using Premiere Pro. However, the thing is that there is something different about the videos on the GoPro channel versus some amateur GoPro video. There is something about their color correction, render settings, cuts, etc. which makes the videos stand on such higher level compared to other GoPro videos. And those are the things that I want to know how they do it.
@ernesin1499 жыл бұрын
Jeroen i know the feel man.... i know the feel... hehehe same here. i use final cut pro. i also think that a big part of it is how they do the color correction. i still dont get how they do it hahaha
@Roaming508 жыл бұрын
Nice, if you have the time to set up all the shots and you're not on a busy trail where some yahoo will run over your cameras! :) Still I've found the best way for a more pro look is to use a 3-axis gimbal. To me that is killer and the new Hero 5 announcement today with the GoPro Karma and gimbals proves it. I'm getting good results with just a chesty mount and gimbal, but then I don't have lots of cameras and I usually have one chance to run a trail....
@ejbrandon9 жыл бұрын
The quality of my footage never comes out a good as the ones I see online. I also get vertical purple lines??
@ernesin1499 жыл бұрын
Ean Brandon actually. youtube compresses the videos a lot and they dont ever look as good as straight out of the camera. another thing you have to consider is that they color correct every shot. not only they know which mode is gonna give them the right sharpness and light exposure but they sure do know how to edit the videos, and i dont mean just the cuts and intros.

After shooting in 1440 which is a 4:3 ratio how do you stretch your video into the 16:9 ratio? Do you manually edit the image with the sliders in the gopro studio or do you use the 4:3 to wide preset stretch?
@desertmtb4708 жыл бұрын
You don't actually have to stretch it at all. The 1440 image is the same width as a 1080 image. It will fit right into the 1080 project. You can use the 1440 image to either adjust up or down to get the crop you want without actually having to crop, or you can squish it down so the whole image fits in the frame.

PierreKiwiz 1440 gives you the widest field of view possible. It's true that in post-production you'll need to crop the image back to 1080 (or stretch it) but you're more flexible with choosing your framing/cropping.

The session is the most worthless pos Gopro has ever tried to sell no add on batteries meaning only has about an hour and a half to two hours worth of video shooting you're relying mostly on your smart phone or the go Pro remote to change your settings and anything else with the camera for $100 more you could get the go Pro hero 4 Black edition which shoots and 4K and has a lot better quality of video the only good thing about this camera is that it is small but considering the go Pro hero for is already small enough there are very few situations that you will need a camera the smallalso it is very overpriced and at the end of the day the video quality is what matters the most and this camera is no where near as good at the hero 4 silver and especially the black edition also this new camera doesn't have protune in picture mode
