The pros perfectly aiming their bikes between that tree and rock at 2:13 through that rutted out rocky gnarly tree root section while fully pinned always amazes me at this track. Their precision, skills, and guts are astounding.

Can’t see why he was so far back on the upper sections. Looked great to me. Must be a few better line choices up top the fast boys hit. Amazing improvement over course of the run. If he figures out the top, and keeps the bottom comparatively, he’ll certainly podium.

Great run, but how come "GoPro" can film and release qualifying footage but Bernard Kerr can't, because apparently Warner own ALL of the footage and won't release it until two days after the event 🤔

After about 3 years the last Keurig stopped working kzbin.infoUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf initially was able to unblock, however eventually we couldn't fix. That one was a replacement unit sent by the manufacturer after we had problems with our very first Keurig. This works fine (lol, at least for now) however I didn't realize the water reservoir was so much smaller than our prior unit. With 2 people having one or two cups of coffee each morning, it seems like I'm refilling it daily. Otherwise just happy to have the convenience of pod coffee vs. making a morning pot.

So what settings would you recommend for tracks similar to light conditions…. Dark bright dark bright…. Do you lock the exposure? @goprobikes
@trailroam Жыл бұрын
Set your ISO max value fairly low like 1600 is what I do and EV comp to -0.5 to -1.0. GoPros tend to be on the brighter side out of the box
@MitzenmacherFilms Жыл бұрын
Brett is pretty spot on with his answer. The GoPro’s do an excellent job shifting exposure from the dark to light areas like this where it’s full sun in some areas, and dense trees in other. The transition naturally happens very smoothly. When we shoot MTB, we recommend 4x3 or 8x7 modes to get the most top and bottom frame for POV, Lens - Shoot Wide if you want more room to alter the image in editing, or superview or hyperview, and the image will automatically stretch in camera and convert it to 16x9. ISO Min - 100, ISO Max - 1600, Bit Rate - High, EV Comp: -0.5 or -1.0 if you are in extremely bright sunlight. White Balance, you could choose to set it or leave it as Auto, Color - Natural if you want great results right out of the camera, and Flat if you want to have more room in editing to color. Sharpening - Medium or Low (the camera auto adds sharpening in camera, with it at Medium or Low, you have more control of this to add it in later in editing as well.

@@park_rat_matt Yeah I get that, my point was that he is now in an elite club of the very best dh riders in the world, people that have been racing at the highest level a lot longer than him so 10th place in his first elite qualifier is absolutely amazing and by the end of this season I have a feeling he’s going to absolutely nail it.

I wouldn't say anything. Jordan Williams was a true competitor for him. If both pulled their best run, usually jackson was a bit faster but it was really close. Jordan went on 7th place in qualifiers as well. So we could see this guys racing against each other another decade.

Very interesting watching these three GPro drops this evening. AS and RA are both riding with considerably more control that JG - yes, yes, I know, absurd saying that, right? But seriously, if we assume the GPro’s were set up similarly, the we can see why JG’s run was tenth. He looked like he was going very fast - he was 😂 - but he was loosing time with every little shock and bump we saw through the camera. Also, his control of the handlebar direction was ‘weaker’. Less ‘flow’ than the other two. But extraordinary timing. It’s like he’s dealing with every little thing ‘live’. RA and AS are trusting more to muscle memory, a little bit more strategic thinking and focusing on key details as a result, rather than every detail. That’s just my take 😅 OK, so that’s a hysterical critique from a fella that can barely get a bike 10m down a street on the flat. But, I recon I’m not far off explaining the differences. Another way of saying this is if RA let’s the brakes off just a little bit more she could win tomorrow and definitely win a few and even the title this year. And if JG smooths himself out just a bit, he could too; even tomorrow! And riding like this, if AS commits a tad more without loosing his rhythm (flow) he could be tomorrow’s winner and I see no reason why he too shouldn’t win a few this year. Is this his year? Shame we haven’t seen those winning quali runs by AK and CB. I bet they were something🎉🎉🎉🎉

Probably that's his biggest advantage. Big arms will not bring you down the track - big arms means probably more arm pump. For him it just looks like so easy going down there.
