Yup that's pretty dumb. I've seen motocross riders get their face fucked up when they slam their face into their bars. And that's when they're wearing goggles and have a foam pad on their handlebars!

Mr Visser is one of the best riders in the world,still. That ski is quite hard to backflip and only 10 people on the planet are doing it. Bloody awesome video.

TheJonBoyW If you feel comfortable with and want to wear a helmet to maybe prevent you from getting "knocked out" by all means have at it. This guy is probably used to doing this and all manner of other stunts routinely and feels more comfortable without a helmet. The helmet actually was probably uncomfortable to wear especially with the strap connected...he was only wearing to capture the footage.

It's called a waveblaster, no longer made by yamaha. You can buy them stock or modified (if you can), in this case he customized everything even the paint. With a bigger engine of course.
