GoPro Karma Drone - 'Compass Interference'

Less than 45 minutes of flight time on the drone. About 1/2 of the time I put it up, I get a compass interference error and it decides it's going to pick a direction and fly until it hits something.

I had exactly same issue on my karma drone 'twice'. After first falling due to this problem, they sent me new drone, but new one has same issue, so it also crashed down yesterday. So now I do not know what I can do with this even though they send me new one again, because I am not sure 2nd new one does not have issue anymore....

Hii today when I was flying gopro karma drone lost GPS and compass and drone crashed what to do in this situation from where to start helping. ps .. I sent logs from controller to gopro support.

Wyprawy Kajaczkiem Po Polsce Gopro/Gopro karma There’s nothing to do. GoPro did nothing for me. I had to go buy a DJI product as they stand behind what they make.

this happens to me once its like you cannot control it and head sidewards you cannot do anything to it once this happens it will surely crash.

For my wasted $600, it only had to happen once. It's now a paperweight. GoPro doesn't care as they already have my money. Hopefully, yours wasn't ruined after less than an hour of flight time.

Regan Robinett I do like a lot. I e been flying it for a couple of weeks now. The only thing that I don’t like about the Karma is the limited amount of range I get compared to my old 3DR Solo.

SLR Photography I’ve never tested the range on it. I’m a bit hesitant just because it’s one thing if the drone goes down, but I use my Hero6 all the time. So I need a 2nd drone only camera. This crash didn’t break anything but the props. I’ve replaced them & have fired everything up, but haven’t put it back in the air yet. We’ve had either cold weather or a 30-40 mph wind that makes being outside no fun. Hopefully this weekend! It’s supposed to be nice, finally!

To elaborate, we fired it up for the first time this weekend since this crash and it gives the notice 'Fully Extend Arms'. The arms are fully extended. We took it apart to try and find the sensors that were causing the error and so far, we haven't found it. So less than 1 hour of flight time and the $600 or so I spent on the 'GoPro Flight Kit' is a complete waste of money. Buyer BEWARE. There's a reason GoPro quit the drone game once they scammed a large enough consumer base.
