GoPro Karma Max Distance 2.3 Miles

Wow, I've had the Karma for about two years and was under the impression that it only went 400ft away from me. Put it in Sports mode and turned off the distance limit and WOW. I feel like an idiot. lol. This video and comments were a lot of help.

Is there any footage of you getting it back, that battery is good for 15 mins so would have been good to see a fast clip of the return flight, just bought mine and updated, do you get any freeze on the controller screen, that always makes me a little nervous to lose sight. Great distance test though.

nowonshall looking at the customer service aspect I’ve heard DJI can be a pain in the ass to deal with plus with the karma you’re getting a Camera you can use for other stuff and the curb a grip plus the drone which is not bad deal and parts are readily available if you crash it you can get parts cheaper DJI

I was on the same "predicament". Bought myself the GoPro Karma as soon as I realised they updated it to have the "Follow Me" feature, finally! Since I can use the Hero6 standalone and with the great gimbal, Karma Grip, it's a great combo. Very happy so far.

I have one also...but mine just fly 400’ H and 400’ distance WTF!? How did you get 2.3 miles !?!? Help!!!!? I already chance the parameters but “limit” is just 400’ mine comes with hero6

Dji is overpriced ... I'd take a karma over anything under 1k.. you can change the camera.. and they are camera drones .

WOW! Farthest I have gone is 1024 feet. Did your signal stay green the entire time? I get 1000 ft and it is yellow.

Jims Motor Trike well it was my friends drone and he was in a canyon in the middle of nowhere so it would have to do with less signal interference and the signal bouncing off the mountin sides

Did you visualize in the controller and you fly on expert mode or with gps?

No it was all flown by hand no mapping whatsoever and I believe it was expert mode it's been a long time

nowonshall Karma will just get better they r still in there infancy with drone's and now that they have a couple Ex apple employees working with gopro.. I think the software updates and future drones will fly. You should test it.. Im sure it would be fine.. Everyone ajay's talks crap about Karma.. But I'm happy with mine it does what it suppose to and some.

well, see how they progress. I tried to tell my friend not to get the karma but he did otherwise with almost no problems with it besides 1 random fly away and GPS signal losses.
