How fast they are while landing off 100 foot booters into foot wide ruts. There are so many spots on this track where the rut starts from the landing of the jump and goes through the whole segment.

According to my calculations they hit the 150 tripple at 51 MPH! Thats 2.2 seconds to go the 150 feet. I could be off a little on my stop watch. It actually works out at 46.48 MPH but thats if the speed were constant. They had to hit it harder than that so I added 5 MPH for acceleration loss or coasting effect. They could have hit it even harder and slowed down more in the air. I don't know how rapid speed decays in the air with no thrust.

Rolley Folley haha yea, I raced for 15 years, it's easier to pick the lines when you have cut lap after lap on the track too, not just watching a few laps through a gopro haha. Still, I'd eat shit in the first corner with ruts like that. They had more ruts in 1 straight than most Aussie tracks get over the whole track lol.

Rolley Folley Good stuff mate, keep at it and you will do well. I raced from 1998-2013, I got some pretty good results and got a couple sponsors but kept injuring myself so my consistency wasn't there. Then I went back to uni so I couldn't afford to keep going. I just started working again so I'm hoping to get back into it this year. I'm 26 now so I figure I've still got a few years of competitive racing left in me. Good luck with your racing mate, I hope you do well. Best bit of advice I ever got was "To finish first, you first must finish" :)

Lucas Basciano You could be right. But Kenny is more than capable of matching or beating Tomac's pace *if he is healthy* He has already proved so with many wins over him. And Dungey will be a lot closer once he get things dialed in. Unless Tomac can prove he has consistency on the big bike you are doing nothing more than wishful thinking. Yeah he shot out like a cannon at the first round, but one race don't mean too much in this sport.

Same with Dungey, who is certainly not the fastest rider on the track..With No RV, Stewie, and a older slower Reed, not many surprises to expect. Kenny I don't think will find the same success as he did last year...

Andrew Bouvier I think it depends on his starts mainly. If Eli is top 5 top 10 even it makes a HUGE difference. That being said Dungey is the most consistent rider on the course right now IMO so he is a title contender himself. Kenny I think will be a top 5 finisher in points i think by seasons end. I think it will be pretty tight for the title tho.
