I needed a macro camera rig to film some of the closer details of the KZbin filming projects I have planned.
It had to be a quick and simple DIY project, using the GoPro Hero 10 Black I already have.
I decided to use a macro lens adaptor for macro photography. This fitted onto the front of the GoPro 10 and had interchangeable lenses for different magnification and focal distance.
I also had a field monitor that had been in a drawer and needed a project. Although I could have used my mobile phone as a monitor with the WiFi link to the GoPro Hero 10.
I bought a couple of ‘Smallrig’ lights that I could also use in other filming projects.
The workshop space I have is really small so the kit needs to be collapsible and easy to pack away.
I made a KZbin video with more detail about how to cut, drill and rivet aluminium. With more information on how to use a jig to quickly drill accurate and precise holes. bit.ly/3YgUyf7
