@Sheridantank5 жыл бұрын
freshprince 84 If you’re telling me the earth is flat I can’t accept you as a sound minded human being. If you’re telling me the jump is fake, you’ll need a lot more then “proof” being visual discrepancies brought on by recording a round object with a fisheye/wide angle lens. Please don’t embarrass yourself and tell me the first is your claim.
@freshprince84845 жыл бұрын
@@Sheridantank I wouldn't say the earth is round or flat as i will never know for myself. You can see they're faking the curvature in this video though can't you?
@Sheridantank5 жыл бұрын
freshprince 84 Fisheye lens, gravitational lensing, along with us just not having a good mental representation of what things should look like. You can not represent this view with a camera and screen. I suppose in VR you could. I have no reason to believe this is fake as it’s not even officially the record for time if fall and was beaten by height. The earth is undeniably round and this video is very likely not faked in any way.

But he did it from 19 miles up. 23 miles wouldn't have been that hard to imagine. According to my calculations, that would be 54 years ago. You can see the heartrate monitor fluctuating including multiple drops to 0 bpm. Is that possibly due to the violent way he was moving? Either affecting his body in such a way or the reading equipment was giving false readings?

When you look up at the moon, or beyond to the stars, you realise how insignificant we are. That we are just one tiny speck in this vast universe, and that the entirety of the achievements of the human race do not even matter. To many, this will be disturbing. But I find comfort in this. Why? because I think we should do as much as we can to become more than that speck.
@MrEirey11 жыл бұрын
Not many people realise but the universe "observes" itself perhaps only through human eyes. This is where "significance" kicks in.

You are wrong! I used to think like you, but think about this... you said we are just a speck in the universe, but I challenge you to find another living being in the outta space. 99.99...9% of the matter in the universe is lifeless matter. Yes, stars produce so much energy that we can't even imagine, they are thousands of times bigger than us, but they are lifeless though. Life is not that simple. The smallest organism on this earth is still something outstanding. I'm not saying we are lonely in the universe, just that we are extremely rare. Human being is even more rare because we are the only creatures who can comprehend the universe itself. ...Anyway hat's off to Felix, simply amazing!
