Man i miss vilopoto, my idol. I got into dirt bikes because of him. I remember walking into a AM/PM, i grabbed a bag of chips and soda, the store employee handed me a poster of him. I remember getting home and hanging up his poster on my side of the wall (i shared rooms). Grabbed my tablet and searched him up on KZbin. This was back in 2012-2013 if i remember right. Him, steward, reed, dungey and tomac racing for the championship was NUTS! But of course my boi vilopoto pull it off and won. Roczen was just getting started.

You nailed it. They're going insane fast, their suspension and brakes are made from the nectar of the gods. Seriously though, the factory guys suspension is $30,000+, and the general public can't get them. The quality of suspension we use now is what pro racers used 10 or more years ago. Even A kit suspension is way shittier than what these guys have and look how much that costs.

Villopoto was always faster than Dungey, Dungey was not even close most of the time. Dungey knows he was always second at best. He took titles only after Villopoto retired. And thats a shame because Villopoto could have gotten many more SX titles but he ended with the flag on top which is a great thing to do.

For his bike, well over $100,000 US. They're totally spec'd out to be at the bleeding edge of performance. A stock KX450 would run you about $10,000 US and you probably wouldn't be able to come near the limit of what it can do.
