Gotta love those blue bird days when the Alpine finally opens after a storm cycle! I always hit Frog Hollow/Christmas Trees and finish with a cheeky lap through Khybers. Nice video. Although I feel I should point out that the Pineapple Express weather cycle is usually lots of rain with warmer temperatures and usually doesn't result in powder. We had way too many Pineapple Express days in 04-05

The bigger skis allow you to float better on the snow so they definitely help especially when the terrain isn't as steep. As for groomed runs, it's more about the rocker/camber of the ski than the size which makes them better or worse.

Hey awesome video!! I'm so jealous of these powder snow over there! I usually go in the powder ski with my (more freestyle oriented) twintips. But alot of people tell me it's much more easy and fun with these wide skies specifically for the powder like yours. Is it really that much better? And how does these powder skiis react on non-powder runs?

Dude, the pineapple express is when hot air from hawaii comes in to whistler and basically makes it rain in the alpine. The opposite of 45 inch pow. The pineapple express is the enemy to all whistler locals.

Whistler BC is approximately 555 km (345 miles) from Victoria BC - around a 7.5-hour drive including a scenic ferry ride, or 1.5-hour flight! Worth the trip for Whistler Blackcomb's epic slopes? 🇨🇦

Pineapple Express actually refers to the warm, moist air from Hawaii that brings heavy snow to Western Canada's mountains - including Cypress Mountain and Whistler Blackcomb near Vancouver, BC, and Mount Washington near Victoria BC's neighbors! Which ski spot beckons you? 🇨🇦

45 inches and you didn't even get a face shot? That's why you need to ski inland, where the snow is blower pow. Utah all day.

Tapped Hell ya. I decided to go solely Bird this year cause I can get shop passes to Alta from friends. Snowbird doesn't give anyone shop passes, which is pure bullshit.

I've been at bird but most pow runs have been wiped down from snowboarders.

But the nice thing is, on steep slopes on pow days, the snow basically just get pushed around and stays as pow. With wet snow, it just turns into bumps as soon as it gets skied.
