I hate how it gose so dark and bright. 1:10 - 1:40 Its a editing nightmare for trail riding. Any setting ideas to prevent it? I tried limiting ISO Range and shutter speed but not alot. Still alot of testing to do on my part. I'll figure it out sooner or later.

​@@GoProMX Spot meter mode activated by touching and holding the screen in the bottom half of the display keeps the ground exposed correctly for dirtbike trail riding. Pros and Cons (Pros) - The trial is correctly exposed constanly which is what I want to film and for people to see. making editing easier for me (Minor Compromise) The sky is over-exposed when in the shade and white clouds shine bright thew the trees. to me doesn't matter really I want the trail exposed properly and consistently and is the main focus I want to show people. To negate the minor con. A Flat color mode and -1 EV compensation can give flexibility and control to set the shadows and highlights in editing but will 100% need to be edited to add back the contrast and mid-tone brightness. Might I add? The Gopro is a magic camera I've always wanted. Like any camera takes a little time to learn the advanced tricks. 25fps gives the most amount of light to the camera sensor for dark scenes and the best stabilization. But for auto light exposure in extreme lighting conditions (dark and light areas) our eyes and brain scan threw the dark and bright areas making a high dynamic range video (HDR) of multiple exposures. Where modern cameras capture a moment in time at a single high dynamic range exposure and use advanced technology to compress all the information to fit on limited dynamic range of modern screens and look amazing. I think a feature to auto exposes footage to the bottom 2/3 or 1/2 could help focus on what's most important for track and trail riders to keep the ground exposed lighting-wise. A Gopro is an amazing camera fighting extreme conditions better than any other camera on the market. We ask the imposable from action cameras. The Gopro company leads the pack and that is why we all own or want one. Thank you guys for all your hard work.
