A great review as always Ifti. What are go pro thinking when they made this piece of rubbish? Who would buy it? Bluetooth doesn't work under water as you correctly said. I have their previous remote called 'The Remote' and use it strapped to my trikes handle bars. Ir works great and the re-charge lasts for days and days and it's water resistant enough for me. As I said what is go pro thinking and doing? Long live their competitors as they are doing things a lot lot better. Cheers and a BIG thumbs up as usual.

Great review! I own a Insta360 X3 with a remote control. According my experience with this setup, a RC for action cams is a poor feature and uncomfortable to use. I prefer speech control on my mountain bike, which works very well with Gopro.

I have owned 3 gopro remotes and destroyed them all with water damage. The USB-C port is only secured by a piddly rubber flap, and I use it in the sea every day. After a year of use the port corrodes and the remote won't charge - it's useless! This remote looks robust and more waterproof (slightly - no gasket / O ring seal?). I will probably swap the strap for something stronger though.
