I think they've filmed 1080p superview 60fps. In my opinion, would be better shooting 2.7k superview 30fps because you can keep a lower shutter speed and It helps capturing more light, in indoor... Just wondering if they've shot with Protune on and color Flat and color corrected in post...?!

yes it could be the right answer, but I'm still pretty sure that more light the sensor can take, the better, even if it reduces sharpness. Do you think they use Protune? Or just click and go settings?

gopro's aren't camera's for far distance quality.. it's way better for close range and stuff.. (no hating, i own a go pro myself) ^^

***** Actually GoPro's suffer in low light as any camera does. On a sunny day the quality is prefect but as you may have noticed, supercross is held at night. Not to mention the fact that the quality is drastically decreased by KZbin so that we are able to stream it efficiently.

Exactly how fast can these machines accelerate? I thought my Yamaha R6 was quick, but some parts of the video look sped up with how fast these guys are taking off. Must be fun riding something like that.

Dirt bikes have extremely short gearing with a relatively low top speed but almost endless torque. Couple that with ~220 lb weight of a modern 4 stroke and the skill of these guys and you have a winning combo. The pros plant that back wheel perfectly and accelerate at the appropriate time, too, so there's barely any wheel spin when you see it "jump" like that.

Since the bikes are geared so low he is really going as fast as the bike and the track will let him. He is constantly on the brake and clutch, hitting the rev limiter in the air and sliding into the berms. They make it look so effortless and even better when you only see the POV. Pros like Ken do everything for a reason and they rarely make mistakes.

I have ridden a bit of supercross and mainly arenacross and its not hard to clear the jumps. Most the time the problem people have at my lvl are carrying there momentum into the corners! And some have the problem with scrubbing and staying low! And to the guy that asked if we wear cups. The answer is no hhahah! No one wears cupzs
