I did this same sky dive...and my instructor, without warning, made us do a back flip out of the plane. Best experience of my life. I got to taste a cloud.

Sick times man. I did my first two jumps this summer, and I'm looking forward to more next season. The anticipation of waiting and the rush once you're out the door...it's unreal.

that view is sick. Good job, guys!
@2phalanges6 жыл бұрын
the view is probably the best thing in skydiving next to having the rush during the first 5 secs of free fall. after that man o man.

GREAT video David !! I've watched a lot of these videos, but this is by far the best. If nothing else made me want to try this, the huge smiles on your faces would be enough. What a cool experience and WHAT A VIEW !! I've been a pilot fot three decades and been a firefighter just as long, but THIS has to top any adrenalin rush ever experienced. Thanks for sharing !!

Randy, thanks for the AWESOME compliment! I really try to capture everything in the videos I make. I'm sure being a pilot and firefighter, you've seen some pretty amazing things! Thanks for all that you do! And, as for the view, they say this is one one of the top 5 best drop zones in the entire world.... Aloha, my friend...

CORRECTION: Our Tandem Jumpers Were DOP (Not Rod) and Christian... not Rod and Christian as referenced in the credits... DOP was awesome - has over 24 thousand jumps - and jumps barefoot! Love it!

Going to Hawaii in September. What are the odds of an ankle injury while doing this? I want to do it but don’t want to risk it being the only thing I do due to injury.

I am curious about the smaller initial parachute?? I have been skydiving and we just had free fall until the big one, I am fairly certain. This video seemed like it really stretched out the experience. It looked amazing!!!
@GetLivinn6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Susan! The initial chute is opened a few seconds after you jump. Most people never notice it. From what I'm told, it's called a drag chute and it prevents you from falling faster than 120 MPH. I assume that allows the main chute to open safely... Aloha!
@georgejacob31623 жыл бұрын
The drogue chute which is released shortly after exiting the plane is mainly for preventing the tandem pair falling at more than 125 mph. It does have a secondary use though which is for stability.

I'm doing my 7th jump this Saturday (Sept. 29th 2018) and I can't wait! How high did you day this jump was? Sounded like 40,000 the first time I heard it, but you'd have to have air for that and HALO jumps are 30,000 and very expensive like thousands of dollars so I listened again and it sounded like 14,000. Awesome though, I love it. I've made it a yearly ritual for myself. This is my 5th year in a row and I did 2 jumps 11 years before I started going annually. My view isn't nearly as nice though, I go way SW of Chicago over farms. Very nice view you had man. Congrats! Hopefully you go again!
@GetLivinn6 жыл бұрын
Stoked for you! We jumped at 14,000.... The main thing is - you're living life! I'd love to jump over farms in Chicago! Keep charging brother! Love it!
