Netter Ausbau! Was viele vergessen ist das zulässige Gesamtgewicht, bei den Materialien ist die Zuladung wohl sehr gering. Bei der Dämmung sollte man auf den Korrosionsschutz achten. Bei einem Camper entsteht gerade Nachts und bei feuchtem Wetter viel Kondenswasser was durch diese Dämmung nicht entweichen kann. Auf Dauer wird der Rost sich ausbreiten und für viel Arbeit sorgen. Auch wenn man ein Fenster einsetzt Rostschutzgrundierung und dann Lack. Hohlraumkonservierung und Schutzwachs nicht vergessen!

Man kann so einen Ausbau einfach mal schnell, irgend wie reinzimmern oder man macht es wie Ihr einmal Richtig. Echt ein klasse Ausbau und die halbe Stunde von dem Video war schneller weg als gedacht. Ich wünsche Euch viele schöne Erlebnisse mit dem Van und Allzeit gute Fahrt.

Ausbau "on the street" ist durchaus gelungen - cool. Zu hoffen bleibt, dass euch bei einem "Crash" die Möbel nicht um die Ohren fliegen (Stichwort Ladungsicherung, fehlende Rückwand zum Fahrerhaus). Sollte das der Fall sein, muss nach einem Unfall mit Personenschaden mit Kürzung der Versicherungsleistung gerechnet werden. Der TÜV würde die Einbauten so wohl nicht abnehmen! Fazit: rollenden Zeitbome - uncool !!

That high density rubber is kick ass. I pulled out all that plywood flooring. After I found mold..Installed 5/8" High Density Rubber. Put reflextic on top. Then installed Pergo 10mm+2mm backing free floating flooring. As that model does not require a vapor barrier. It's been 5 years. My feet love me now...And the insulation good enough for -21 degrees. And it's quiet. Worked as a sound barrier as well.. i want to use that on the walls oof now. As me and mold don't share the same interest.

I've lived here in Germany for almost 6 years now. On many occasions I have needed to rent a cargo van. I have rented both the Sprinter 170's and the VW Crafter. Both ride great, but I prefer the Crafters. Especially for the price point!! I am returning home to the USA in a couple of months, and started looking for vans. I dug and dug to see if I could find a Crafter for sale there, but I haven't been able to find one. I am guessing that they are not imported to the US. Enough to make me wanna cry.... Beim Dachfenster kann man die Isolierung aber auch schön machen, das sieht ja aus wie Kaugummi von einem 9 jährigen. Klar, der Gesamteindruck am Ende ist ok und das ist völlig in Ordnung. Aus handwerklicher Sicht wurden schwere Materialien benutzt und die Umsetzung sehr laienhaft. Für mich wäre es nix, finde es aber schön wenn Leute was selber machen. Viel Spaß mit dem Umbau und hoffentlich nicht allzu viel Rost mit dem Hobel...
