I got a question! I own Camtasia 3 and I want to do the zoom thing but I don’t know how to do it on an older version
@GordIsman4 жыл бұрын
Camtasia 3 on Windows pre-dates my usage. I don't know off-hand what the capabilities are there for Zoom/Pan. Sorry I'm not of any help to you on this.

@@GordIsman Hi Gord, The smooth zoom was explained in the first video but the audio was not good, that's why I am asking you to explain. First video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqOXgGawjMaEjs0 Second video: In all his videos, Patrick uses this feature frequently with swoosh/swish sounds..that's really kick ass. Check this after 0:50 kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHndhHWEerhpoKc Please do a video on this?
@GordIsman4 жыл бұрын
@@srinivaskandru5034, yes, I've seen that first video before and I do intend to do a video like that one, but my style! Regarding the second video, that's just a matter of getting the right sound and then designing the sound to be timed with the animation. Although I don't demo a swoosh here, this video show's you how to do design for your Sound Fx: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKHFm4eQrMR1jdE

How did you make the whole screen close up? I mean not the Camtasia tutorial that you are teaching. What I meant is that @8:30 , @11:05 @11:14 zoom in close up the TOOLS. I am dying to learn that as I need to make a close up zoom in video for the DAW tools.Did you use another camera to shoot this video? Can you make another video how did you shoot the whole video before you posted on .I subscribed your channel and thumb up.Cheers.

I use the Zoom/Pan feature and I just shrink the box handles and move it to focus where I want it to be - it's just a standard Zoom/Pan. When you do that, animation begin/end key frames are added that you can then tune further. See this point in the video for more clarity: kzbin.info/www/bejne/enfZdpqoiNR4Y68 . Note, when you first resize the handles in the zoom/pan, that's when you see the animation with the begin and end keyframes added. I hope this helps... let me know.

awesome tutorial Gord. I have one question. Every time if I want to add zoom in or out do I have to cut the video clip? Thanks for your help, again. Gord, I am not sure if you made a video on how to use audacity with Camtasia. Gord, one more request. I want to use Cursor effects on zooming in for lets say 10 seconds and then zoom out. would you please show me how? thanks
@GordIsman6 жыл бұрын
No you don't need to split clips to do a Zoom/Pan. But, keep this in mind that each time you add a Zoom/Pan, it adds an animation on the timeline at the playhead.

Do you know how to maintain its aspect ratio in zoom in pan? in the previous version it had that option to maintain the aspect ratio when zoom in pan but now I can't maintain the aspect ratio.
@GordIsman6 жыл бұрын
I'm not totally sure what you mean? But if you click-drag on the corner handles in the zoom/pan area, you get a proportional zoom that maintains the aspect ratio.
@yukinatsubasa31786 жыл бұрын
What I mean is that I want to zoom in but without the maintain aspect ratio that was in camtasia 8 The zoom won't let me control where I want to crop and not want to. because my video has some blue lines and sometimes it will zoom in to much because i can't maintain where i can control to zoom.
@GordIsman6 жыл бұрын
I see.. sometimes I have to play with the "position" properties, and then split clips and mess around, if the zoom/pan doesn't work to your satisfaction.

Thanks for the great video! Does anyone know how to use this feature on Mac?
@GordIsman6 жыл бұрын
Hi Guillermo. Sorry for taking a bit of time to get back to you. I've checked with my buddy who uses both PC and MAC and he says, there is no Zoom/Pan on Mac but he uses the Scale behavior and then just tunes it - similar outcome. So, you can use that, play with the keyframe begin and ends, and also tune your visual properties. I hope this helps. I've added a video to my list to talk about the differences between the two Camtasia platforms.
