It haven't been a year but Gordon looks like he grew up several years. Look at his buff shoulder. He is no longer the little Aang we knew.

It has been several years since the first season was filmed though. I think the post filming production was particularly long partially due to the technology used for special effects.

Anyway, he’s older but he still feels very “Aang” in all of the most important ways. I have full confidence he can still pull off the part well & I’m glad they chose to time hop rather than recast the actor.
