Gordy Herbert is such a good wholesome dude. Germany owes so much to him and the way he lead this team in the past couple tournaments. I also love how humble he is and that he says it how it is. Bayern really did not play too well in the beginning of the season and to me it looked like they would have a terrible season if they continued to play how they played, but this man always finds the right things to adjust, and now they are looking pretty good, and he has only been with the team for a couple months. I see great things coming for Bayern, if they let the man cook for a couple years.

I remember back when he was coaching Aris, while the teams were waiting in the corridors beneath the stands to enter the court, I asked him a technical question about p&r. Despite the fact he looked like was lost in his thoughts, he answered the question (probably sounded too dum for him lol) in his calm way of speaking. Such a down to earth person, I wish him the best

I particular like his reflected speech about changing his attitude from yellling to developing a culture of joy and enthusiasm, and of psychologial safety (btw. a convincing concept I learnt about some time ago in a different context; it was developed by Amy C. Edmondson, in case someone is interested)

Coach Herbert really seems the calmest coach in the Euroleague. Even down by 40 against Olympiacos, he just threw some Fs here and there in the timeout without yelling too much.

Good interview. I particuarly like questions that try to clarify rather than having a symbolic soundbite. Learning to enjoy the job is a great topic and asking again to clarify how he did it was exactly what interested me in the moment. Maybe it´s a good point to differentiate your upcoming interviews from typical american interviews where it´s more about performance than clarification/education.
