I've been a Gordon Lightfoot fan since 1976 and I saw him in concert last week. This has just become one of my favorite songs.

I discovered Gordon in 1970. Been following him ever since. He has been blessed with a most magnificent gift from God above & he has used it well to share his deep heart. Love everything about him. I wish I could write like that. Thank you Gordon Lightfoot

By far, by very far, the finest song on the album "Harmony". Seemingly written in response to his near death experience, which occurred just before this.

I think Gordie is a great old English poet reincarnated.....Maybe Lord Byron Unlike most of the pretenders, he is a REAL poet!
