My mom is from the area where this episode was filmed, and I absolutely love it up there. It was nice to see some recognition of the Smokey Mountains. One of the few places I'd feel at home living outside of Georgia. Gordon didn't even use that Cotswold cheese that was there. For shame. That shit is DELICIOUS. Been in the south all my life, and visited Haywood County where this was filmed hundreds of times to see my grandma, but I've never seen no damn beans on a breakfast plate.

I really love Uncharted. It's incredible to see all these places I'll never get to see for myself, and learn so much about different cultures around the world. How do you spend time with your family with all the traveling you do? Do your wife and kids come along.

He meets people at their level. He is chill when he is talking to amateur home cooks, kids on masterchef, or his own family. He pretty much only gets upset at people who are supposed to be professional chefs but can't even cook rice properly.
