Gordon Ramsy probably won't read this. However, I did once make a Quinoa Salad similarly to the recipe shared by Chef Ramsy. It was greatly appreciated by friends and family. However, when my sick grandmother tried it, she chocked on a piece of shaved fennel. We did not have the chance to do anything. Paramedics were called to the scene (she was still alive when they arrived) and died just after. Thanks to that experience, I'm too petrified to enter the kitchen now.

*Gordon, Ceviche for Peruvians is sacred!!!* What you were making there is not ceviche. It’s a fish salad with a lot of citrus. Honor our dishes please, and If you want to be original and creative, which I’m doubting it now, name them differently. Ceviche is not a dish made only in Spain or in South America. It’s originated in Peru (keep the facts) typically made from fresh raw fish cured in citrus juices, such as lemon or lime, and spiced with ají, garlic, and other seasonings including chopped onions, salt, and cilantro. Don’t confuse the audience. Note: I’m not a chef. I don’t have to. As Peruvians we know about our gastronomy and have great cooking skills as well on how to employ our endless sources.

I'm from peru.. There's ceviche in Mexico, Ecuador and other countries too.. why do we say ceviche is from Peru? We love it and made it one of our best dishes but that doesn't mean it's originally from Peru.
@luisgustavogonzalessanchez8464
@luisgustavogonzalessanchez8464 5 жыл бұрын
@orutra12 Oh really? That's so strange cause citrus fruits were brought to South America by Spaniards.. furthermore according to some historians Moorish women marinated fish in vinegar or in a citrus mixture.. and later on they brought it to South America..
@luisgustavogonzalessanchez8464
@luisgustavogonzalessanchez8464 5 жыл бұрын
@orutra12 by the way, the word ceviche has Arabic roots, but you know what? We, PERUVIANS, again, say it comes form quechua, which leads us to the Incas, and as we know they conquered part of what is now Ecuador, who also say ceviche was first made there. However, theirs is not that famous, I think.
@luisgustavogonzalessanchez8464
@luisgustavogonzalessanchez8464 5 жыл бұрын
@orutra12 saying that Ceviche is from Peru is a bit pretentious. Even historians debate about this topic. We could say that Peruvian ceviche is the best, but "being that sure" that it is from Peru, that is just silly (to say the least)

Fortunately I didn't listen to him and now I run my restaurants. Imagine someone told Ramsay the same?

The raw fish with dressing looks amazing. He even said ceviche cures the fish in citrus juices, but doesn't let it cure (not even tossed). Dish is fine but damn better be sushi grade fish people!

There's no such thing as sushi grade fish, what's also weird is that the Japanese rarely eat mackerel raw because it's often loaded with parasites.

Thin..? You need that bulk & muscle with a gob & attitude like yours......mackerel is beautiful, full of flavour & this recipe looks very manageable & tempting. Where can really good fresh Mackerel be brought from? I buy all my fish from the supermarket (using the fishmonger) I live in the uk. Good eating everyone.

Feels like a waste to remove the seeds from the cuecumber right? It dosent taste bad and the texture isn't too different from the rest of the cuecumber
