Some Mexicans, especially chicanos, are really hung up on "authenticity". The reality is that Mexican cuisine was shaped by foreign influences that were adapted by Mexicans. Lebanese immigrants and their lamb shawarma was the inspiration for al pastor, but Mexicans used pork instead of lamb. Crepas de huitlacoche is a very obvious example of French influenced Mexican cuisine. So if Gordon Ramsay wants to create tacos using different ingredients, then why the hell not? P.S. Not a fan of Ramsay's particular innovation, I'm just saying "authenticity" is overrated.
@AnantHandoo
@AnantHandoo 3 жыл бұрын
@@gymnopedie4445 I'm not Mexican neither am I Japanese but from what little knowledge I have he used 90% Japanese cuisine. I'm not all about authenticity but at least don't call it a Mexican taco when literally everything used is Asian. Its simply a wrap
