The Almohad dynasty, a Berber empire, made hammams popular throughout the country in the 12th century. Gordon is with the berbers, yet he can't help insulting them by claiming their traditions are Turkish and that the Ottomans brought it their in the 12th century. The Ottomans' lackluster attempt to make Morocco a vassal state ultimately failed when Murad III invaded in the 16th century and the Turkish army was paid in gold to leave. The so-calked vassal period lasted only 2 years between 1576 and 1578. Hammams were already there, Gordon!

Mr Gordon it is wonderful to have you here in my beloved country, I hope you've had a great time. One thing that would like to mention is that you keep repeating the same mistake when it comes to the history of this land, the Ottomans have never set a foot in Morocco.. and as a matter of fact the Moroccan identity that you've seen and experienced was established centuries before even the Ottomans existed in Anatolia (today's turkey). @Sun Lolita @@berg9946 Yes, but there are more similarities between the different Berber tribes than differences. Also, all Berber dialects are very familiar, whether it's Shleu7 or Rif or Kabyle, etc, as soon as the words are written down or translated you'll notice immediately that the words are the same except that they're just pronounced a bit differently. Of course, you'll find some uniqueness here and there, but overall they have the same basis and the cultures just contain varieties of the same things.
