Tip on how to remove latex! Soak the area in baby oil and wait a couple minutes, then gently peel off the skin, add more baby oil on the inside while peeling to help! 99% alcohol of isopropyl myristate works aswell. I'm currently in sfx makeup school and this is how they taught us! :)
@grimalexx7 жыл бұрын
Wow thanx, gonna try the baby oil. Always trying to find a gentle way of removing latex xd
@luckyclaw06 Жыл бұрын
i know this was 8 years ago but i have a question if you're up to it! I was doing research on Google and it said that isopropyl myristate was toxic and could cause poisoning. Of course I tried to debunk this and although there were some articles saying it was safe, a lot of the articles relayed the same message that 99% isopropyl myristate is dangerous. I've been wanting to ask an actual makeup artist, so if you receive this reply, I would be super excited to listen to your wisdom.

Coming back to this video to say Thank You. Been a fan for several years, and Halloween 2018 I did a half burned look using your techniques here (as well as those from your other videos) and that makeup look helped me get a job in the haunt industry, and I now work full time for one of the most . sought after in hyper realistic props as a painter and sfx artist. I firmly believe I wouldn't have had the same kind of opportunity to successfully pursue my passion if you didn't take the time to create funny, engaging, accessible tutorials for people. Keep shining on you beautiful, wonderful, crazy diamond.

If you do have eyebrows, COVER THEM. latex will rip out every eyebrow hair you have. Please please please don't put latex in any hair. I like to put masking tape over my brows and seal the tape down with the latex.
@mykie10 жыл бұрын
I do have eyebrows, they're just blonde and hard to see. I appreciate your concern for everyone's eyebrow safety but what you're saying simply isn't true. As long as you coat your eyebrow or any other hair in vaseline first, like I mention in the video, the latex will come off your hair without pulling. Also, if you happen to forget this step, latex can be removed fairly easily from eyebrows using Isopropyl Myristate and a cotton ball.

Very impressive however what has prompted my comment was gut laughing along with you empathetically on the latex removal....every single time, man, every single time. Even have done it two days in a row several times and stupidly thought all of my baby hair would have been GONE from last night.....ermmmm, nope. Anyhow, thanks for the chuckles! I'm new to video subscriptions and commenting, so I'll try to do it only when I have something of value to add. Thank you already!
