GORF Hard ROMSET vs Medium and Easy

Since you know your Gorf so well, maybe you can answer a question. Is there some difference I am missing between a real "hard" set Gorf in the arcade VS a hard set emulated on MAME? (Gameplay wise) Reason I ask is because I play a hard set Gorf at a local arcade and I got a little over 100,000 set for 4 ships. I just bought an Arcade 1Up MK Head to Head cocktail table that has Gorf on it. (Only reason I bought it of course). Anyway I "suspect" they are running some version of MAME for the emulation. Whatever the case I am struggling to get half of what I can do on a real arcade machine. Best I've had so far is 56,350 on a 6 ship game! I checked Twin Galaxies and I saw you had a hard rom set score with 3 lives of 200,980 for arcade yet I saw you had a score of 65,160 on a version of MAME with 6 lives. Am I missing something? My Arcade 1Up feels harder somehow. Also saw a glitch pop up 2 times on it. Like when I was doing the Space Warp screen first testing this thing out I think I died on the last enemy comming out... Then it did something weird. It repeated the Space Warp level over again but the mission counter went up by 1. So it was like Space Warp Mission 15, Flag Ship Mission 16... It corrected itself when the game was over. Just seeing if it's my imagination but I don't think my gameplay would be that far off after about a dozen games.
