Beautiful car. If it came with the Olds 403 engine, Pontiac would have put the "6.6 Litre" decals on the sides of the shaker. "T/A 6.6" decals were for the Pontiac 400 engine cars. You can tell by the oil filler tube it's definitely the Olds 403 engine. Maybe the shaker was repainted at some time, if not the whole car? Those "T/A 6.6" decals don't match the engine, but it's still a very desirable car. Atlantis Blue has become my favorite color on these.

I think the entire car has been repainted. There is a lot of sun fading on the seats suggesting it's spent a lot of time outside. But the paint looks like it's never been out of the garage. And it does have the wrong markings on it.

Yeah, that's not correct. The cars that have the 6.6 Litre decals are the standard Pontiac 400, or 403 Olds engine. The cars that came with the T/A 6.6 decals are the optional Hi Performance Pontiac 400.

@@WeBeAutosLtd It's still a gorgeous T/A and it's barely possible someone might have special ordered a 403 Olds T/A with that shaker decal. It's been known to have happened back then. Not putting it down. I just suspect it's had a repaint sometime in the past 41 years, which wouldn't bother me if I was looking to buy it. I'd prefer that over original paint that's showing its age. The other video you posted of the 400/4-speed Atlantis Blue T/A with gold decals is one I drool over every time I watch it.

The 6.6 Litre designation was either the standard Pontiac 400 or 403 Olds (only available engine in Cal.), and the T/A 6.6 was the designation for the optional Hi-Performance Pontiac 400. Should say 6.6 liter on hood scoop not T/A 6.6. That was reserved for the good motor. The Pontiac 400 with standard 4 speed. This motor was the same one used in Oldsmobile station wagon. Nice shape, but not the one to own in 79

If this hadn't been carelessly re-decaled after repaint, it would possibly be worth the asking price. However it is a very nice car. $25000 all day long. In todays market you will likely get close to the $35000.
