I'm really enjoying life more now Theo... You were the first KZbinr I found "rockhounding" last year. Funny, I went to the creek looking for Montana agates 😮 I realize they were in Montana... Had to rewire my brain. Found my first rock with fortification lines... It was extremely small, but I said out loud "if they have little ones, there is big ones" ... My adventures have just kept expanding. I'm finding so many beautiful things and I've lost 50+ pounds.. you know how hot it is here in the south. Just thought I'd tell you and let you know you got me out and rockhounding. My mother (81) and I just love watching you and Lexi... Unreal how you made her ring. Unbelievable how beautiful it was when you got on one knee and proposed to her😢 during the eclipse... Wishing y'all the very best in life and your adventures.

@@RockyMountainBear it's even more than that... I wasn't weighing. I went to the doctor and he was shocked... from a 48 waist to 36... I've always been a big guy.. I'm 6ft and 200lbs now .. I feel fantastic!

Your excitement at finding these reminds me so much of myself! My hubby & sons think I'm nuts bc I get so excited about finding what looks to them like "dirt covered rocks" 😆 ..but what can I say? I am who I am 😏 I see such beauty in the neverending variety of colors & patterns I come across & it just makes me so grateful to God that I get to enjoy them 🙌 Plus, my eyes naturally start scanning the ground any time we are in a good rock hounding location or just outside period lol. No one in the fam enjoys going on walks with me anymore bc I hold everybody up by stopping to pick up cool rocks lol. I'm sure it also has to do with the fact that everyone is like a pound heavier by the time we get to the car for having to carry all the rocks that wouldn't fit in my pockets 🤭 So anyway, I appreciate your appreciation for the simple (yet not so simple) things in life.

Going to Yellowstone in a few weeks. Thank you so much, Theo, for showing me what I can look for! And thanks for taking time in your trip to add in a rock hunt or 2 two and show us something new!❤

10:23 😂😂 Theo: "Oh what's he digging for? Isn't he so cool?!" Bear: *looks right at Theo* 🐻 "You talkin' to me?" Theo: "okay, we can go. Let's go." RUN AWAY! This is such a good video. I love it! Bears & chalcedony. Great combination. You're absolutely right about brown bears. Incredible animals best admired from a safe distance. I have actually found a couple pieces here in Utah that look so very similar to that fibrous calcite & the chalcedony you found. I either need a bigger screen, or I need to get my hands on some specimens to compare. It's incredibly beautiful stuff. I really enjoyed this one. Thanks Theo 👊🐻

Those were all really beautiful! The bubbly chalcedon, and the colors were extraordinary with fabulous patterns! And then when you cut them, the colors and the patterns insides were just phenomenal! All the rocks you found were really great! And that shiney one was a head scratcher for sure! Weird but what a pretty rock and an awesome shine! Thanks Theo, and Alexis! ❤

Hey Theo. That shiny rock could be a dinosaur gizzard stone! My grandma carried one in her purse in case conversation gets slow. Looks just like that stone. Tumbled with stomach acids so cool

Hiya Theo, awesome video and beautiful stones, and your right about the scariest animal, because that's exactly what I'm scared of.....the grizzly bear, any bear except for the ones we have down here, little bitty bears. I hope you and yours, have a awesome blessed day. Cya! 😺🐟 out!

Technically, those wave marks from an ancient shore line are fossils, aren't they? Footprints are, so I would think wave "prints" are too. Beautiful place. Thanks for taking us along with you on your adventures.

Hey Theo,,, so this vid has blown my mind n left me with crazy loads of questions lol.. n since I look at u as a cool “ Bill Nye, the rock guy!” I was hoping I could get you to help me identify some rocks.? I have one like u shared tonight but it’s got translucent salmon color gastropods in it. If not it cool I understand you’re a busy boy! But if your open to it, I will send like u like 10pm tomorrow and feel free to take as much time as you want to… pls n ty Thankx, Nikki

That polished stone could possibly be a gastrolith. There’s no way of knowing for sure unless you find it among dinosaur bones, but it’s a possibility.
@Magicfirepatti-yd7we5 ай бұрын
That's what I was going to say! I've been rockhounding in the Pryor Mountains at a spot where there is jasper, agate, dino bones and gastroliths. I think this one is a gastrolith. It's a similar spot and same type of terrain, similar rocks. I would love to collect some of that chalcedony, though!

I have an awesome piece of red calcite that fills my hand from wrist to fingers, and it's topped with red crystals of calcite. Honestly, it doesn't look real! The animal that I most fear encountering in the west is a mountain lion. Bears can be dangerous if disturbed, but mountain lions are the ones that will stalk you and look at you as being lunch.
